1 | Seatmates

It was the start of college. Atsushi Nakajima was very excited to see his new classmates. All of his classmates entered the classroom and he followed shortly after. The teacher was assigning seats at this moment.

Atsushi pov :

"I wonder who my new seat mate will be!", I said excitedly.

Then suddenly the teacher said "Atsushi Nakajima and Akutagawa Ryūnosuke please seat beside each other on the chair beside near the window." Then Atsushi looks and smiles at Akutagawa while Akutagawa on the other hand, was flushed and looked at the other side. Atsushi was confused but just changed his eyesight towards the teacher. The teacher said "So I am your adviser and your Chemistry teacher." { Not me searching for chemistry lessons :] } "Do you guys know what chemistry is?" the teacher said. A blonde female called Higuchi Ichiyō raced her hand and said "Chemistry is a branch of physical science that studies matter and how matter changes!". "Very good", said the teacher. The teacher told her students to turn to page 1 of their chemistry book and read it quietly while she does something. Akutagawa reading the book quietly, the grey haired boy, Atsushi, looked at the black-haired boy.

Atsushi pov :

He looks quite handsome I must say.. I thought to myself. Wait, what am I thinking- I said confusingly. Im just gonna read and forget this happened, I said to myself while I started reading the book.

Akutagawa pov :

This guy.. I saw you look at me. I said to myself. So I decided to look at the grey haired boy looking suspicious of him. While the other boy decided to see what I was doing, he saw the look of mine and was quite afraid of that look.

After a moment of staring at each other the two boys looked to their opposing side very quickly to stop the awkwardness. The bell rang and it was lunch time. Everyone went to the cafeteria. Atsushi saw Kyōka Izumi. Her former classmate during the 12th grade. That blueberry had a liking to the grey haired male for a while now. Although she never confessed. She chose to just hide it inside of her, not telling anyone besides herself. She called for the grey haired male and said "Hey Atsushi-Kun! Wanna have lunch together?". She said with a lovely smile plastered across her face. Atsushi was very happy to see her old classmate Kyōka so he said "Sure! Why not" with a smile on his face as well. After they ordered their meals, they both sat on the chairs with a nice view of the sky by the window. While they were happily eating their meals and talking about life the other male seemed quite lonely. He ordered some tea and pancakes then sat on a chair, alone. The blonde girl, Higuchi saw the boy and decided to sit and talk with him. Uninterested, Akutagawa just looked at the window, not even minding the blonde girl. The blonde girl still tried to be his friend though! So feeling sorry for the girl, the boy was forced to accept her request and be her friend. Feeling happy she smiled at the male.

After so many classes that day, the day was finally over. Akutagawa, walking out of the school was being followed by Higuchi. The male was feeling sense of insecurity until he saw his back, it was his friend, Higuchi! So he kept walking and until there was a stop. He told Higuchi that she could already leave so Higuchi did. Still walking, the black haired boy saw his seat mate and a girl he didn't know about.

Akutagawa pov :

Who is that girl? I don't seem to know her..". I said concerningly for my seat mate. "She looks pretty.. I wonder how she met him. I said in a sad tone. I saw them walk forward to me. I freaked out. "Why are they coming near me??". I thought. When they were right beside me, my seat mate, Atsushi said "Hi Akutagawa!". He said with a very sweet smile. And I said "H-hi..". I thought to myself "You dumb bitch why are you stuttering!?". I assumed he was concerned of me because he had a worried face plastered around his head as he said "Are you okay?" and I replied with "Yes, of course..". He said "Oh okay! We were just passing by anyways nice meeting you! See you in class" and of course with that sweet smile again. And I said "Oh okay.. bye.". I can't handle it. He's too fucking cute.
