The girl gasped and clutched her yellow raincoat as she sat up quickly and panickingly. Her curly and somewhat straight hair was messy and stuck to her face a little due to her sweat running down her cheeks. She trembled in a bit of fear from what she had just dreamt of.

'W-what was that?..'
Was her first thought.

The girl started to become aware of her strange and new surroundings she had never been in before. Next to her we're other kids who we're starting to awaken from their slumber. Each one just as confused as she was.

The room they we're in seemed large and was definitely a bit eerie. Next to the cribs we're toys to play with, like a train. And there were also a few dressers around that needed dusting. She found that there was a huge door with an eye on it,staring down at each of them. The 9 year old found that suspicious and weird. Who would even have a door with an eye on it?

As I inspected the room I noticed a boy next to my crib groaning and sitting up. He looked to be a bit older than me, maybe one or two years older, with scruffy black and curly hair. He wore a blue shirt with dark blue pants that seemed a bit scratched. What caught my eyes was the chain around his ankle. It shined as the light reflected on it. Even if there was a chain, there wasn't really anything weighing his leg down.

The boy met my eyes, who had noticed me staring at him. He gave me a weird look and sighed, scratching at a few scars on his hands.
He asked, "So, do you know where we are?" Well of course I didn't isn't it obvious I woke up here too dumba- "No.. But we're in a kids room for sure.. " I interrupted my own thoughts.

The boy cursed under his breath and hopped off of the crib, already looking through every nook and cranny to escape. I got off of the crib too, walking up behind him and pulling his sleeves. I could've sworn he could have had a whiplash from how fast he turned his head at me and his muscles tensed.

I worriedly asked, "Are you alright..? " And the boy just slapped my hand away. Seems he doesn't want me around him. Alright, that's fine.

The sound of a door knob turning is what caught each one of the kids attention. The person.. No.. The creature that came in had long stubby legs, a small hat on his head, he wore a mask to cover up his probably disgusting face, and had freakishly long arms.

I was scared of course, not as scared as the others though.. It felt weird to not be so scared at something abnormal as this. It wasn't as abnormal as those adults in pale city wasting their lives away at tvs though…

A voice came out from the creature that made everyone even more scared, well except for a few kids here and there, but I'm sure they're scared inside.

"Alright, you kids must not ever leave this room. I'm your.. Babysitter. If one of you even tries to escape- looking at you runaway child- I won't hesitate to catch you and bring you to somewhere you don't want to be in.. " The babysitter spoke.

Everyone nodded and soon the babysitter left the room. A few minutes pass and a few kids here and there started to chat or play together, ignoring the abnormal encounter they just had. I looked down on all of them though. How could they not see that they're in a strange place?? Where mostly nothing is even the size of us? Well everyone except…him!

My eyes searched for the familiar hair that was scruffy and curly. I spotted them and quickly walked up to them, once again pulling their sleeve. This time they just sighed and looked towards me.

I didn't smile or try to lighten the mood.. That wasn't needed as of right now.

I spoke, "I'm assuming you're runaway kid.. Since you seem to know more about where we are. " I shuffled a bit and crossed my arms, looking at the taller boy.

The boy nodded and confirmed he was indeed the runaway kid.

"My name is also seven" He commented and continued his search. I watched from behind, replying "oh, well I'm Six."

He stopped and gave me a light glare, "you're not trying to mock me are you?"

I looked to the side and shrugged. "No.. That really is my name."

He didn't show any signs of guilt, but just mumbled a simple 'go away'. For the first time in a while I left him alone.
