---"Back up, homeboy." [y/n] made her hands flat and stiff, ready to karate chop Hinata in the neck as he tried to approach her after vomiting on the bus ride over here. She wrinkled her nose at the thought of his vomit landing on Tanaka's unfortunate lap which made her glad she hadn't gone with them to the game. Her eyes shifted away from Hinata to look over at Tsukishima who was too busy scoping out the school to even acknowledge her presence.
Tsukishima didn't react when she popped up behind him, gently yanking the collar of his jacket from the back. He glanced down and to the side, raising an eyebrow at the girl who snickered as if she had done something evil. He groaned quietly, "Ugh, so you decided to show up."
"Uh, rude. I showed up for you, my dear Keikei!" The girl cooed playfully, reaching up to tickle the underside of his chin. Much to her dismay, he smacked her hand away before she could reach.
He grimaced. "Don't call me that. It's revolting."
"It's literally your name twice. Are you saying your own name is revolting?" She shot back, almost losing her shit when her nose damn near caved in after bumping into Tsukishima's back from his abrupt stop in front of her. She stepped back, rubbing her tender nose while glancing around his large body to see who was blocking their path.Lucky for her, it was only a few Aoba Johsai students who had been caught talking smack about the same Karasuno males who were right around the corner.
The girl made a move to step out from behind him but Tsukishima stepped in front of her again, blocking her from the two males in front of them. Assuming it was unintentional, she pinched his side and huffed under her breath.
"You guys!" Daichi's booming voice made her jump, forcing Tsukishima to turn on his heels and walk away with the girl absentmindedly following him out of instinct.
The girl stood at his side once again, shooting him a curt side-glance. "Your fat ass keeps blocking me. I don't even exist with you around."
"Maybe you're just short." He snickered complacently, rather satisfied with the fact that he had made her presence practically non-existent. "Or better yet, no one cares about you."
Her expression dropped. She retorted, "I'm going to shove my foot so far up your ass, you'll be licking my heel as an apology."
The male's countenance didn't shift one bit as he held up his hands in defense. "Spare me," he muttered flatly, eyes trained on the gym that they entered with the rest of the team at their side. Upon feeling a slight tug on his sleeve, he glanced in her direction. "What?"
She pointed up at the upper floor and looked back at him. "I'll be up there." Her words earned her a simple nod before she turned on her heels and set off in the direction of the spot she was determined to stand in. By the time she had found her way and stood in that exact spot, the match was already beginning.
It was so fucking awkward. This first year girl from another school was standing on the upper floor, watching a match between her school and another while standing there all alone. She could feel the curious stares of random Aoba Johsai students on her, but she ignored them for the sake of her pride and sanity. [y/n] truly wished she had invited a friend along to join her so she wouldn't look like a loser as she watches this match by herself.
"It's too late now." She buried her face in her hands.
Not even a moment later, her attention was stolen by the sound of the ball slamming against the court with a loud bang. It all happened so fast that she couldn't even comprehend what had occurred in those fleeting two seconds. The entire battle between Aoba Johsai and Karasuno captivated her so much that she failed to notice anything else, even the stares in her direction. She became engrossed in the match, betting everything on Karasuno as if she had a lot to lose in this moment. Everything was strange, especially the fact that Tsukishima was so shit all of a sudden.
"Put me out there! I'd obliterate all these mu'fuckers." The girl declared proudly as she leaned against the railing, peering directly downwards before looking back at the court with a gulp. "It's kind of high up."
"Oikawa-san is supposed to show up soon! I heard he can finally play again!" One of the nearby girls squealed as she gripped the railing, leaning so far forward that [y/n] felt anxious watching her. The two girls stood a few feet away, chattering away loudly about this Oikawa guy who she guessed was ought to show up soon to play in this match.
"Who the hell is Oikawa-san?" [y/n] muttered under her breath as she leaned on the railing, propping her elbow on top with her cheek resting on her fist. Her eyes scanned the court, observing the blond who played as a middle blocker. It was obvious that he lacked the amount of skill his upperclassmen had obtained through their years of volleyball. Hell, even Kageyama was better than him and it was no surprise since he was a friggin' prodigy. Despite watching Tsukishima fail miserably at certain aspects of volleyball, a small smile spread across her lips. "Heh, he looks stupid."
Upon hearing the gym doors creak open, [y/n]'s eyes strayed from the boy's to see who it was. A shock shot up her spine when a series of screams erupted within the gym, all females calling out the name of the boy who entered with such grace. The incessant squeals for the male made her cringe, wondering what was so good about this interloper who she did not know of.
