'Dream!' George's high pitched yell stung the ears of everyone on the call. 'What the fuck was that for!?'
'Language!' Bad chimed in.
Dreams tea kettle laugh was even louder then George's scream. 'Where did you respawn?' he wheezed.
'I'm...I'm all the way at spawn! Someone destroyed my bed!' Realisation came upon him. 'Dream! Did you go to my base!'
'It's our base.'
'Well, did you go into my room in the base?'
'Well, we share a room, so yeah. We share a bed, remember?'
George couldn't be mad at Dream, but he couldn't let everyone know that. 'Can you at least just get my stuff so it doesn't despawn? I've got full netherite gear.'
'Well...'
'Dream!'
'Ok, fine, but you have to do something for me.'
George sighed. 'What?'
'On your next stream, wear a maid outfit.'
There was a moment of silence on the call before everyone burst into laughter. The twitch chat went crazy. George found himself laughing, too.
'I'm kidding, but you will have to do me a favour at some point later on,' Dream laughed.
'Fine, just get my stuff.'
There was no response.
'Dream? Have you got it?'
'He's on mute,' Quackity grinned, approaching George in the game. He crouched in front of him. 'But who needs Dream, man? You have me.'
'And what good do you do?' George asked doubtfully.
'I have the drugs.'
George smiled. 'I think I'd rather Dream, to be honest.'
'Sorry, guys, I have to go,' Dream panted, coming back unmuting himself. George frowned slightly. Why was he panting? Why did he sound so scared?
'Why?' George asked, the words escaping his mouth before he could stop them.
'Uh...it's no big deal. Bye, stream. Bye George.' With that, he left.
'Why was he fucking panting?' Sapnap snorted.
'Language!'
'He was probably having hardcore sex with someone in between games,' Quackity suggested.
'What the fuck?' George snapped.
'LANGUAGE! Both of you!'
George took a deep breath. 'All of this is giving me a headache. I'm going to go, too.'
'George, you said you'd help me going netherite mining!' Sapnap protested.
'Sorry, Sapnap. I'll do it tomorrow. Bye stream! Bye guys!'
George ended the stream and stood up. He wondered what everyone thought of his reaction to Quackity suggesting Dream was with someone. They all knew he was kidding, yet George had reacted so violently. He ran a hand through his hair. Were his feelings for Dream that obvious?
The brunette collapsed onto his bed and picked up his phone. He opened Snapchat and send Dream a message. Are you ok?
Dream didn't respond. George waited anxiously for the delievered to change to an opened to change to a new chat but it didn't change. After ten minutes, it changed to opened. George waited eagerly, but there was no response. He had been left on opened by Dream. He knew it shouldn't have been such a big deal...but to him it was. What had happened? Did Dream hate him all of a sudden? Should he call him?
You're just tired and overreacting, he told himself. Collapsing into bed, he fell asleep..................................................
'George!'
'What the fuck?' George mumbled, pulling hair out of his mouth. Who was even on the call with him? He'd just answered before even checking the name.
'Did you just wake up?'
It was Dream. Of course it was. 'Yeah,' George muttered. 'Why did you have to call now? You knew I'd be asleep.'
Dream didn't answer, instead he just chuckled. 'You're morning voice is so cute.'
'Shut up,' George blushed, trying to hide how happy that made him feel. Dream heard it in his voice and picked up on it instantly.
'So last night I was just thinking, you know, and I came up with this hoodie design. I'll sent it to you. I need your advice.'
George opened the photo Dream sent him. When he saw what it was, his eyes widened.
At first glance he thought it was his hoodie in a green and blue tye dye design, but when he looked closer instead of saying GeorgeNotFound like his hoodies did it said DNF is real. Below the writing was the iconic Dream smiley face. George stared at it for a good ten seconds, unable to form words. He slowly took a screenshot.
'You bitch!' Dream yelled. George had forgotten he was still on a call with him.
George laughed, wishing he could hear Dream's yell in person. 'That is a masterpiece, but did you happen to be drunk when you thought of it?'
'Yeah. I was drunk...on my feelings for you.'
It took George a second to process what he was saying. 'Uh...what?'
'You're so unromantic.'
'That's not true.'
'Prove it, then.'
George felt a wave of confidence flood through him. 'I will. When and where?'
Dream was silent. 'Where did this confident George come from? I like it but...it makes you sound more like a bottom then a top.'
'Is that a bad thing?'
'Well...I don't know if I want to give up my place on the top.'
Silence fell between the two men.
'Well...I need to go now,' George lied. 'But I'll talk to you later.'
'Ok, love you.'
Dream hung up, leaving George alone in the silence. Love you. He wished he had recorded Dream saying it so he could listen to him saying it again. He had said it so many times to him before, but all of that was on streak. That was with an audience. This was different. There was no reason he would have said it unless...unless he actually meant it.
'Stop being stupid!' George scolded himself. 'He doesn't love you. He doesn't even like you. It's just an act. It's all an act.' His own words hurt him.
He opened his camera roll and stared at the hoodie. But there was this. He wouldn't have designed it unless he saw something between them, right? Or was the hoodie just another thing for the viewers?
George realised he forgot to ask him about last night, and why he had to leave so suddenly.
Who cares? He thought to himself. He doesn't even like me. I shouldn't be so possessive.
George opened another photo on his phone. It was fanart of him and Dream, his favourite artwork of all time. By staring at it, he could imagine Dreams hot breath on his neck, and his warm hands slowly crawling up his spine, and his sweet lips as she kissed him...
No. He couldn't afford to image that. He had to stay in the present and in reality, and reality was he didn't have Dream.
