Chapter One: Friends

October 19, 2016

"Nathan! Nathan! Nath--" I stopped. And the person who has been calling me nonstop finally catches up.

"What?" I asked as I faced her.

"Oww. You mad bro? Hahaha" She said as she laughs. She's Haley, Haley Shin. Tho she's a pure Korean, she's good at English. She and her family moved here when she's 6 years old.

"Oh yeah? Who won't be pissed being called nonstop. Not to mention that you're shouting tho its not necessary coz you're just behind me inches away." I said nonstop, I feel like I can be a rapper and be like Eminem. Lol

"Hahaha! Chill Nate. You really look ugly when you're mad, tho I kinda like it. Haha" Then she laughs wholeheartedly. She really loves to tease everyone. Teasing might be her number 1 hobby eh?

"TSS! So what? You need something?" I ask to change the topic.

"Nah-uh! I just want to tease you. That's all." She said with a smirk on her face.

"Whatever Haley!" I said disappointed. You could actually see how disappointed I am by my facial expression just now.

As we were about to enter the school, Chandria High that is, I saw Riley running towards us, waving his hand.

"Hey guys! Ohh.. What's up with that look Nate?" He said right after he catches us. He saw me having a poker face

"Well, this girl over here is teasing me already." I said as I point Haley. That's Riley Thatcher, he's a good friend and a nice companion.

Then I hear a phone ringing. That must be mine.

*Phone Rings*

I took my phone from my pocket and I saw Nate's name on it.

"Wait guys, I have to answer this call" I said as I answer the call and I distance myself from them.

"Hey! What's up Nate?"

"Hey Kim. I just wanna say that your Mom is gonna go there at Chandria for some business matters." he said and from his voice, he's clearly concerned about me. Especially if ever my Mom saws me here.

"Thanks Nate. Don't worry, I will stay low as much as possible." I said to ease him. "When is she coming?" I added

"Four days from now. She's staying at Crown's Hotel for a week."

Nate says sounding nervous

"Thanks Nate and don't worry, Mom won't see me. Who's with her?" I asked with confusion written all over my face and I saw the two looking at me with questioning looks. I just wave at them telling that it's nothing.

"Uhh I guess Shaun. Not sure tho."

"Okay Nate, thanks a lot."

"Sure thing Kim. Okay I gotta hung up now. Bye"

"Bye"

After I ended the call, I slowly walk towards them.

"You guys free tonight?" I asked them as soon as I reached them.

"Yeah I am." Riley said then looks at Haley. "I'm free too. Why Nate?"

"Well... let's just meet at my flat. I'll tell you there why. 7pm, okay?"

"O-okay?" they said in unison, both sounds unsure or maybe confused coz this is my first time asking them to come in my place.

"I'll just text you guys my address" I said. And both of them just nod their heads.
"Cool. Then see you tonight. I gotta go, class is about to start. Bye!" I said then I started walking fast.

Unfortunately I'm not on the same class with them. My literature class is about to start and I hate being late, it catches so much attention.

The classes went by and its already my last class coz we don't have class after this. Riley and Haley still has a class, good thing my last class' professor is not around. So I went to the nearest mall which is owned by Haley's family.

As I keep on walking wandering around, finally I arrived at my favorite spot. HalMark has a unique garden that people loves to stay here during free time. As I approach my spot, I saw someone crying. Ohh a kid, she must be lost.

"Hey! You okay kiddo?" I asked the kid as soon as I got near her. Its a girl around 10 or so.

"N-no. I got lost and my sister is not here." she said those while she rubs her eyes

"What is your sister's name? maybe I know her" I asked trying to help her as much as possible.

"A-allison. Allison Clare Stratford" she said while she look at me then she saw my uniform.

"She goes the same school with you" she added

"Ohh the 'princess'. I know her but I don't have her number. Maybe we can go to my school and let's look for her there." I said sounding nervous.

I may have not said it before but I'm afraid to approach her coz they say that she's man-hater and she literally punches anyone whenever she likes it. Creepy Princess as what they call her and... Never mind.

After 5 minutes or so, we arrived at CH gate. One of the guards walk towards us telling us that Amanda, the kid's name, can't enter. But I told him everything and that it's important for Amanda to see her sister, in the end they let us in.
We went to the second floor and I saw her. And finally she noticed us and she rushed to us and then she hug Amanda. It has been 5 minutes and I'm just standing there, they totally forgot about me. I guess I should go. Before I could step further, someone grabbed my hand. So soft like she haven't done any works at home. Damn! I'm sweating, is this Allison's hand? I can't tell. Wtf should I do?
