You wake up to the annoying blare of your alarm clock at 6 am on Sunday. "SHIT!" you yell. You forgot to pack your clothes and you could hear your mom starting up the car in your driveway. Ugh, the drive was going to take at least 3 hours. You start scrambling to pack up all of your clothes. When you finally have everything you need packed, you walk downstairs, your suitcase clunking behind you.

"Honey, you don't bring suitcases to camp, you bring a duffle bag. It's proper camp etiquette." Your mom informs you once you come downstairs.

"Okay but do I even have one?" you retort.

"Yes honey, check in the basement. And see, this is why you pack the night bef-," You're already going down to the basement so you don't hear her finish her lecture.

You go to the basement and check in the storage room for a duffle bag. Sure enough, right in the back, crammed in between two storage boxes, is a light blue duffle bag just the perfect size for all your clothes! When you were packing your stuff, you saw a crumpled-up picture. It was your dad at a camp (probably camp woolsey or whatever it was called). On the back, written in black ink was what looked like your Mom's handwriting. "Dear Brad, I love you so much. I know we've only known each other for a month and maybe you think I'm crazy but I hope one day we'll meet again. Here's my number: 613-555-6142 From Delaney ♡."

You couldn't believe you had found this! Your Dad had died when you were just young so you didn't really know what he was like but you had always missed him. And your Mom! You couldn't imagine her being so romantic. But you didn't have enough time to think very much about it so you kept the picture for later and ran upstairs with the duffel bag. You hopped into the car. It was 7:30 am and the camp was supposed to start at around noon so you had plenty of time.

It was 9 am and you had stopped at Tim Hortons for a bagel, coffee and your favourite; Timbits! You were torn between the jelly ones and the birthday cake ones so you decided to get both. The taste of cream cheese, cold coffee and sweet Timbits was surprisingly refreshing.

You got back into the car and were soon bored. Reading wasn't going to work because you got car sick if you tried to focus on something so you tried to get some sleep.

When you woke up, you looked out the window and right there on the highway beside you, saw the most attractive boy you'd ever seen. Wow, you thought. Ottawa might not be so bad after all if all the guys here look this hot.

You were so distracted by that guy that you didn't hear your mom yelling your name.

"Y/N!!!"

"What?"

"We're almost there so prepare yourself. Just breathe, don't freak out. There's nothing to be afraid of at this camp, counselors are there to help."

You roll your eyes at her and her cheesy pep talk. Like I said, you think. I'm going to hate camp.
