ara was in the gymnasium, waiting for the obvious results of the wrestling winners. she rolled her shoulders, which she did more out of habit than to relax.

the class president tapped his microphone a few times and then cleared his throat into the microphone, making everybody cringe. a few snickers could be heard as he dropped the microphone, but caused everybody to jump because of the noise.

"ahem," the class president said. "may i get everybody's attention?" he looked around awkwardly as if everybody wasn't staring from dropping his microphone. "ooo-kay, i see i have everybody's eyes on me." he laughed awkwardly, and ara couldn't help but wonder, who voted for this guy? he was making her get more second hand embarrassment than when she watched nct videos.

"ara," the class president continued, "you won! you are the best female wrestler in our school, even as a junior, not senior. you will be continuing to the district games."

her lip curled. it was quite obvious she would win, even as a junior against many seniors. and she didn't want to compete. she just wanted some fun wrestling matches that would actually be difficult. this was nothing.

she looked around the room, checking to see who won among the males. unsurprisingly, lee taeyong had came in first. a senior. the two made eye contact, and ara smirked.

"me, you. now."

he looked unsure. "i'm older, and guys are scientifically proven to be stronger-"

"oh, forget about that stuff!" she threw her hands up. "i don't care about that stuff!"

he rolled his eyes, but a smile played on his lips. "mark, first. if you beat him, i'll go against you."

"WHAT THE FU-" mark was sputtering. "don't sacrifice me! ara scares me!"

she laughed confidently. "let's go!" she had a black belt in martial arts; she guessed he would take approximately fifteen seconds to beat. maybe more, if he put up a good fight, she guessed. he could be deceptively strong, although he was scrawny.

mark groaned. "oh dear god, please save me. if me being good was ever worth anything, please don't let me die." he closed his eyes dramatically in a moment of silence. ara tapped her foot impatiently, rolling her eyes. mark finally opened his eyes after what felt like an eternity, and came forward and got into position. he then looked at coach hesitantly, and paused. ara noticed, and rolled her eyes, again.

"hey coach! can males and females wrestle against each other?" ara asked. he was on his phone, distracted like usual. they could get away with leaving if they tried. ara sure had.

he grunted. "sure."

she grinned. "perfect!" she got into position, and taeyong, who was acting as referee, blew the whistle.

in about two seconds, mark was down on the floor with ara on top of him.

"mark, you couldn't have done any better?" she teased. the girls in the room cheered, and all the guys were groaning with disappointment. taeyong shook his head dramatically.

mark was lying on the ground, arms and legs spread out. "oh god, never make me do that again." he grinned at her. "are you going to get off of me?"

she snorted. "sorry, you were too thin, i couldn't feel you."

he frowned. "hey. that's mean. i'm super manly. and the man tiddies."

"tiddies?!" somebody called from the back, on the male's side. it was obviously matthew, who preferred to be called 'bm.' ara still found it weird, especially his obsession with man tiddies. the two both ignored him as a ripple of laughter passed along the room.

she laughed slightly. "don't worry, mark. you're still manly in my eyes. and you should be proud of that waist." she whistled.

he rolled his eyes. "why thank you, all i ever needed was your approval. but yeah, my waist is sexier than yours."

"SEXY," somebody shouted from the male's side. everybody knew who it was, and ara just ignored him. it was obviously jaemin, her best friend.

ara snorted. "sure, sure. keep telling yourself that."

she got into a sitting position and then got up. she reached out a hand to help mark up, but his man ego didn't let him take it. he got up, with a struggle, and looked behind her.

mark smiled. "well, taeyong it is."

ara turned around. he was closer than she had realized, and stepped back instinctively. he made her feel weird things. she shook her head to disperse these strange thoughts.

she put on her usual judgemental, emotionless, yet confident look. "lee taeyong, will you wrestle with me?"

he smirked, making her feel that strange feeling again.

"yes."
