Bella's pov
My clock finally changes to 7:45
"DAD!" I scream grabbing my bag and running up the steps
You see today is June 1st. If you don't know what June first is... it is the first marching band practice.
I've been up since 6am because I'm so excited but my dad said we can't leave to 7:45.
After putting my sousaphone in the bed of his truck I run into the passenger seat.
The whole way there I was jumping in my seat.
After American band geeks I did online school so I haven't seen anyone (except my four best friends.)
I've also been recording a bunch for Abg and interviews.
As soon as we pull into the high school lot I jump out, bag over shoulder and grab my sousaphone before going into the band hall.
Right as I step in there's a high pitch scream, I look over and see a girl holding a trombone
"Your Bella Vaughn." she looks like she's about to cry.
I nod awkwardly before going over to Seth
"You gonna go for assistant field commander?" He asks
"I want to, but I also wanna play sousaphone. " seth has been teaching me to direct and it's kind of awesome
"You could direct sometimes and not other times? Anyways guess what!?"
"What?" I ask
"They're adding color guard! Look!" Seth says pointing to a group of girls with flags.
"Is there any new tubas this year?" I ask
"There was 12 who wanted to. Mr. Williams turned them all down. They're in color guard or the battery."
Ian and Noah walk through the door
"Bye seth!" I say walking over to them
"Happy one year friendaverisry!" Ian yells
"You too! Guess what!?"
"What?" Aj and Ian ask in fusion
"A freshmen screamed when I walked it. She recognized me from American band geeks!"
"Whoah Bella." Aj points to the registration desk
A short blonde boy stands there
"Is that..." Before I can guess the boy turns around it is.
"Bella!" he yells
"Zach!" I yell, as if not seeing him for three months we jump into a hug.
"Who's the small child hugging my girlfriend?" Noah comes up to us
We let go and explain who it is
"They're letting me March bass clarinet!" Zach says
"I thought you lived in North Dakota?" I question
"My parents let us move! Us meaning me and my older sister Elia. She plays trombone!"
My little blonde bass clarinet friend walks away after that.
"Bella tomorrow you can't bum. Were wearing our tuba shirts!" Ian says referring to our spirit day shirts
"She's a cute bum." Noah defends my bum life
"Embrace the bum!" I throw my arms in the air
"I don't own any sweat pants." Ian says
"we're going sweat pants shopping this weekend. "I pretend to be really excited.
My phone starts to buzz... "GUYS! One month and two weeks until band camp!" I yell
"Who puts a count down for band on there phone?" Ian asks
Before I can reply seth yells "low brass and color guard to the marching field!"
He tells the other sections where to go but I don't pay attention because I get my sousaphone out
"No fair! Why is Bella's sousaphone more shinny than mine?" Ian asks
Ignoring his question Aj states "Exactly a year ago at this time when we broke in sectionals Courtney pushed Bella over. "
"That's probably why she's so messed up!" Ian suggest, noah elbow him in the ribs
"Peasant." I state before closing my sousaphone case
"Let's go meet all of the new low brass members!" Noah says running to the field
"And low woodwinds!" Zach starts chasing noah
"Wanna race?" Ian asks me.
All three of us start laughing. We don't run.
"Sousaphones go!" Mr. Williams yells as we realize we are the only ones here.
We walk to the filed and Ian sings dance dance by fall out boy.
"Look at all these innocent freshmen we have to corrupt." Aj says once we get to the field
Mr. Williams comes out to "Okay everybody run some laps!"
"run!?" Me and Ian yell at the same time
"Go!" Mr. Williams yells
"Wait Bella's gonna help with field commanding she doesn't have to run!" Seth says running over to us
"Okay Bella don't run. Everyone else go!" Everyone starts running
"Wow thanks." I laugh in relief
"Your welcome except your actually helping me with field commander. Do you wanna direct foot ball games or direct the competitions?" He asks
"Football games." I reply

After two hours of trying to teach the new members how to march we finally get to leave.
I'm hanging with Noah after band so his mom picked both of us up and Ajan.
Except when we get Noahs house Ian and Aj go to Ians house and I'm alone with Noah which never happens.
As soon as we get inside we go to Noah's room because he claims his parents embarrass him.
"I love how many people fan girled over you today." Noah says. A lot of people did recognize me from American Band Geek and freaked out.
"You fan girled the most." It's true he did.
"I'm your boyfriend it's different." He replies jumping onto his bed
"No my sousaphones my boyfriend." I lie down next to him
His arm wraps around my waste "Can your sousaphone share?"
"Maybe."

What a weird way to end a chapter.
By the way I'm not fishing for compliments when I ask I really want to know.. WHAT DID YOU THINK OF THIS CHAPTER?
I've been working on it even before I wrote the final count down😂
