The sunlight streamed through the windows of Charlie's room early in the morning. Her eyes were sore from the brightness so she turned over, only to become face to face with a body. A yelp left her lips as she backtracked and a chuckle left the other's lips.

"It's just me, Charlie," Luke soothed, pulling her back in. "I didn't mean to fall asleep last night, I just got really comfy," he laughed, opening his eyes to look at her pretty face.

"Good morning, Luke," she whispered, snuggling back in to her pillow, "did you sleep okay? I didn't take up too much room, did I?" She asked with a tentative tone. He shook his head at her though which calmed her thoughts.

"I slept amazingly," he said truthfully. He'd always have a goodnight's sleep but being there with Charlie made him sleep like a baby. "Did you sleep okay? No bad thoughts?"

She shook her head with a big smile, "no bad thoughts. I slept really well. Thank you for staying with me." She did lie a bit, she couldn't help it. In the middle of the night, she jolted awake after having a nightmare. She remembered seeing Luke stir and tighten his grip on her. She didn't want to worry him so she didn't say a thing.

"No problem, Charlie. Anytime."

She smiled at him before yanking the covers back up, "go back to bed," she yawned and she fell asleep almost instantly. Luke laughed before obeying the girls demands.

A few hours later, Luke woke up again. He peered to his left to see Charlie still very much asleep. He stretched widely but quietly, trying not to wake the girl up. Luke reached over to the bed side table to check the time on his phone. 10:36AM. Deciding it was time to finally get up, Luke slid out of Charlie's bed and rose to his feet. He didn't want to wake her up yet, she looked so peaceful. Instead, he decided to make her breakfast. When he got to the kitchen, his four other friends were there sat around the kitchen island.

"Morning sleepyhead," Michael spoke when Luke walked into the room. Luke rolled his eyes and headed over to cooker to make Charlie some food. There were enough ingredients to make pancakes so that's what he decided to do.

"Good morning," Luke replied after a while. He pulled out all the ingredients and placed them on the counter. He could feel eyes burning in to the back of his head so he turned around only to see the four of them staring intently. "What?"

"What are you doing?" Amara asked, leaning her head into her hands. She gave Luke a sly smile and he laughed at her with a shake of his head.

"Just making Charlie some pancakes," he mumbled, measuring everything out. He heard a small gasp come from behind him.

"I knew it!" Amara giggled, "she'll really like that Luke. She's proper into all that romantic stuff."

Luke choked on his own air, "romantic?" He asked, coughing dramatically. "There's nothing romantic about this. It's just a friend making another friend breakfast in bed. Totally platonic."

"Sure," Amara drawled, not believing the blonde boy a single bit. He chose to ignore her though and focused on mixing all the ingredients together. He could still hear Amara giggling behind him.

Soo enough, the ingredients were all mixed effectively and Luke had managed to create a smooth batter. He turned on the hob and melted some butter on a pan. Before long, it melted and Luke poured the batter on to the pan, making sure it was evened out nicely. Amara's jaw had dropped when Luke finished the first pancake. It was perfect. The first one was supposed to come out bad!
