Xander Blake

"And now, a speech from our top student to kickstart your first day of slayer academy, Serene Velvet."
The hall is filled with cheers as soon as Serene takes a step onto the stage. As she walks confidently towards the microphone stand, she takes a glance at the crowd in search for her best friend. A petite girl with spectacles gives her a thumbs-up sign as soon as the two eyes meet each other. Serene takes a deep breath as she approaches the stand.

"I am honored to stand before you as Alpha First's top magic slayer. The past six months in which we spend together training to be here will not be in vain. We will stand tall at the end of troubled times and rebuild our home. I, Serene Velvet, pledged to lead all slayers at Alpha First Academy to the depths of the battlefield and we will come out of it VICTORIOUS!"

As soon as Serene finishes her speech, the crowd roars with excitement. With fists in the air, their cheers brings about a significance of a new beginning for them. All two-hundred and seven magic slayers of Alpha First Academy are presented with a power that will bring about the beginning of a new era.  Serene takes a bow and proceeds to exit backstage as principal Heath approaches the stand while clapping his hands. Principal Heath is a man that looks to be over a hundred years but is rumored to have the body of a man in his thirties. No one has ever seen his body under his usual navy colored kimono. He stands firmly in front of the crowd and with a deep voice, he addresses the first cohort of the Academy. He speaks of the history of how Earth was attacked and that they have received a chance to fight back and drive the demons out of their beloved home.

"And as I end my speech, I would like to introduce to you three new cadets. They are personally recommended by Dr. Vaz himself."

The principal then proceeded to invite them on stage. They were dressed in tattered robes with hoods over their head. As their names were called, they removed their hoods, revealing their faces. 
Rakan Moraz is a young chap that stands 1.9meters tall. He has silver hair and a sheepish look. He smiles as he waves towards the crowd. As he waves, a ruby bangle can be seen on his right wrist.
Xayah Servet, a lady that looks to be a year or two older than Rakan, has a fierce look with a scar on her right cheek. Her maroon hair enhances her cold looks coupled with her yellow feather earring on her right ear. She unwillingly gives a wave with her left hand after being nudged by Rakan. A similar silver bangle is seen on her hand.

The principal calls for the third person who hasn't shown up. He mentions his name for the third time before Xayah walks towards Serene, who was watching from backstage. Xayah stops in front of Serene and raises her right arm. She flicks a stone that were in between her fingers towards Serene. The stone zooms past Serene and hits someone in the shadows. "Xander! Get your ass out here!" Xayah calls out the name of the third person. "Jesus... How can you sleep in a situation like this?" Xayah sighs in disbelief while Serene turns around to see the person hiding in the shadow.

Glowing blue eyes awakened in the darkness. As soon as those cold blue eyes looks at Serene, the atmosphere turns heavy. The entire hall becomes alerted as the air around them begins to suffocate them. Their knees tremble in fear as their gaze looms towards the darkness from backstage, unable to move. The cold blue eyes approaches Serene slowly. "Can't you just wake me up in a more peaceful manner?" A soothing voice can be heard from the owner of the blue eyes. As he walks towards the light, his face was partially revealed due to his long hair. His unkempt looks did not match his soothing voice given in the current atmosphere. Serene is frozen in confusion, unable to process what was happening.

As soon as Xander walks past her, she falls to her knees. Xander pauses and asked if she was alright. Serene was unable to breathe comfortably, let alone utter a word. Xayah smacks Xander on the head with her bare hands and shouts, "Your magic presence isn't concealed entirely, YOU IDIOT!" In an instance, the heavy atmosphere dissipates and Serene breathes heavily. Xander and Xayah approaches the front of the stage where Rakan is standing. Xayah apologizes to the principal, explaining that Xander is not used to having his magical presence concealed. 

Xander Blake looks a little shorter as compared to Rakan. He expresses disinterest in being introduced to the Academy. It was then further explained that Xander came from the Omega Lab, Dr Vaz' personal lab and also the very first laboratory to build ever since the apocalypse. Xander will be joining the Elite Course Class A while Rakan and Xayah will be his support partners in the three-man squad. The duo has been placed in the Support Course Class C. The cohort is then dismissed as soon as the introduction is done.

Serene meets up with her best friend, Erika, back in the classroom. It's a Friday despite it being the first day of the academy for them. The whole day was filled with orientation and the introductions to the school's facilities, most of which they were already familiar with. They were then brought to a dome-looking building that is stationed a few kilometers into the forest next to the classroom. They took an elevator down, which brought them to a large room with a glass-covered viewing gallery at the top. Ms Veron, their homeroom teacher, explains to them that this is a simulation room that was built with an A.I. named V to help assess their levels. Similar to the simulation lab that they did during their training camp but with more detailed simulation and higher levels of simulation. Ms Veron ordered the students to keep up as she walks out of the room and heads toward a door at the end of the corridor. The moment they walked through the door, they looked down to see a fighting arena. 

"This is where we will be conducting your rank placements three months from now. It will also be part of the mock evaluation for your magic ability." Ms Veron announces with a stern voice. The class was dismissed to enjoy the rest of the weekend. It is their first day being on the Carmila Island which hosts on only the Academy but a town that is filled with entertainment. There are various training grounds around the island that the slayers are allowed to use on their own free time.

"Be prepared. When Monday arrives, playtime is over."
