As the alarm clock rang in her ear she realized her beautiful dream of the life she wanted to have with Jackson Wang and the lights and sounds of the high rooftops of Korea were just in her head. She flipped the cover over her head as she rose up to get ready for day that unfortunately not involve Jackson or any rooftops.

She walked up the staircase from her bedroom in the basement, only to see bright lights shine through the livingroom windows. "Fuck!" she said covering her eyes and starting to walk through the kitchen to the livingroom. "Oh hello Mother~" she said sweetly towards her mom sitting on the couch "Good morning dear, how did you sleep?" her mother questioned after kissing the top of her head. "It was pretty good, went to some clubs, met a few strippers" she shrugged "Same as usual" her mother just chuckled while commenting about her vivid imagination. "Ok, well if you are done with all the strippers why don't you go take a shower and I'll make some breakfast?" It wasn't really a question, but she agreed and went on her way to the bathroom in the hallway.

The shower was nice and peaceful, yet very loud. She wanted to destress and just loosen up before school started, this meant having a mini concert in the shower while blasting One Direction and other nastolgic favorites from her childhood while singing into her toothbrush under the water. After getting out she sat on her phone for a few minutes scrolling through instgram before getting dried off and dressed. She exited the bathroom only to smell the amazinggggg scent of bacon and waffles coming from the kitchen.

"Heyyy, did you by chance make me any coffee?" She said with innocent eyes while hugging her mother from behind. "Not yet, but you are more then welcome to either make it yourself or wait until I'm done the bacon." Her mother remarked back, "I can wait but thank you for the food." She said with a smile, "You're welcome~" As she sat down in the chair she started to pluck waffles off of the plate and douse them in syrup.

"Did you see the newsletter from school?"

"No, you know I don't pay attention to those. Why, what did it say?" she said to her mother.

"Oh not much, just how there is a school dance in two months and YOU never told me about it."

"Yeah that's cause I don't want to go." She said happily while eating her waffles as her mom dropped slices of delicious bacon on her plate.

"But it would be so much fun! And you and your friends would look so good together!"

"I don't have any friends, but thank you for bringing that up"

"Oooooooo I forgot about that, but either way you can make friends there." She said with a smile. Being a teenager was hard, she knew this first hand, but when her parents tried to relate it made it even harder.

"We'll see... OH HE'S OUTSIDE! Bye mom!!!" She said while grabbing her bag and the coffee her mom had just finished making off of the countertop.

As she ran down the driveway and through the yard she just kept thinking about this dance and how much she did not want to go. She finally reached her grandfather's car and hopped in the front seat forgetting all about the previous conversation and dreading the new thoughts popping into her head. 'Here goes another day, just get through it' she thought to herself all throughout the drive.
