"Hey, Tori," said Sam.
I had called her earlier but she never answered. She had finally called back.
"Hey Sammi. So, I'm definitely going with you. We just need a plan." I said.
"Yeah, don't worry, I've planned it all out basically." she exclaimed. She was the analytically type so I wasn't expecting any errors in the plan.
"Okay, spill it."
"So next week Wednesday at 4:30- are you writing this down?"
"No. Don't worry, I'll remember" I replied. It was true, I remembered almost everything I hear. It's called an 'echoic memory'. "I always do."
"Okay, still write this down to be sure. So we'll meet behind the Deli okay," I knew where the Deli was two blocks from the high school. "then we'll go in. I've never been before so I don't know where to go from there so when we're in I'll explain the inside plan."
"How will I convince my mom to go out?" I asked.
"Just tell her that we're going to the Deli. I'm sure she'll allow you," she said " and bring your Just In Case bag."
"Okay," I smirked "I'll bring it, thanks Sammi"
"Okay, now tell me what I told you" she said "I want to make sure you were listening"
"Okay," I replied "Wednesday at 4:30. Behind Deli, convince parents by telling them were at the Deli, bring the J.I.C. bag. Did I miss anything"
I could almost see her smile "Yeah,"
"Wait- what?" I never miss anything- EVER!
"You forgot to write this down"
"Oh my gosh Sam, really?" sometimes I can't stand her, she's always on my case.
"It's okay, bye Victoria"
"Bye Samantha"

The next days passed with us sharing knowing glances, surprisingly more when we hung out with Cameron. Then Wednesday rolled around and we were excited. After school I headed to the autistic classroom and worked for an hour. Then I went home where I was immediately greeted by my mom.
"Hey Victoria."
"Hey mom."
"How was your day?"
"Good."
"Oh, that's good."
"Yeah, Sam and I are heading to the Deli for some sandwiches later, if that's okay with you." I said already putting my running shoes on.
"Yeah that's fine. When are you going?"
"4:30" I looked down at my watch, it read 4:15.
"Well, you should get going then."
"Yeah" I said as I grabbed my J.I.C. bag from the closet.
"Bye then, be home by 8:00 for dinner" she said, and with that I was out the door.
