We Met In A Crime

Chapter 5

I woke up with my head resting on the window feeling the vibrations of the bus moving. Loki was listening to my music, "hey what're doing with that?" I sleepily asked.
"Oh, you're awake. Great taste in music. Didn't even know people still used tapes these days." He said. I grabbed my Walkman off him. "You're not allowed to have that or listen to any of the songs on it."
"Too bad, I already listen to most of them."
"Don't go through my fucking stuff and use any of it again." I said annoyed.
"Damn calm down I didn't know you cared so much." He defended.
"Sorry, it's just... it means a lot to me." I look down at the Walkman in my hand and ejected the tape inside.
"So you do care? Anyways, I'm sorry. I won't do it again, probably."
"Good enough, I guess," I giggled.
He stared at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Oh nothing just... your smile is beautiful." He blushed and I blushed too. I elbowed his arm "Shut up."
He smiled awkwardly and looked away.

-some time later-

The bus came to a holt by a shopping mall, we all got out and grabbed our luggage. Security guards surrounded us – not from the mall, our security guards – and escorted us inside. Once we were inside some of them waited at the entrance, some stayed with us and we walked to the car park out the back. I turned to say something to Loki but he was gone. I stopped to look for him but the security guard by the door told me to keep moving while pulling back his blazer slightly, exposing the gun in his pocket. I walked on hoping that he'd be close by.

We walked up to a staff only door and scanned our ID (which is a tattoo on our wrist only visible under UV light- yeah don't ask me how it works), put our codes in to the keypad and walked through the doors. Ah the smell of sweaty locker rooms. Oh yes we're in a locker room; all that for a locker room. We went to our lockers and put stuff in or took out of them and once we were finished we waited in front of them. We got the all clear from the guards and we got into our lockers, closing the door behind us, scanning our eye this time, waiting for the light to turn green and then... the door clicks open at the back of the locker revealing our hideout, the mishu hideout/ headquarters. I know it's a lot of shit just to get into our 'base' but it's necessary, trust me.

I waited around by the main entrance for Loki but there was no sign of him. Maybe he'd just went shopping or something? I walked out the main entrance and into the  reception where we had to sign in again and go through loads security stuff that it felt like we were at an airport... yeah I guess it is a lot. Once out of the reception, I head over to my dorm. I unlocked it with my keycard and the code along with it and went inside. On my bed I was surprised to see something left there: a teddy bear, some roses, a box of chocolates and a post-it note. I picked up the post-it 'hope you like it and feel better soon - Max❤️'. Woah, Max got me stuff? That's not like him at all. I didn't touch the chocolates in case they were poisoned or something because it was kinda weird for Max to leave this stuff so I went to his office.

I knocked on his door and waited for an answer. No one. I knocked again but harder. The door clicked open and Max was there. "Oh hi Ally, come in!" he greeted and let me in. I sat on the chair opposite his desk.
"Hey Max. Did you leave something for me in my dorm?" I asked.
"Yeah I did, did you like it? Got you your favourite chocolates." He blushed.
"Aw I loved it you cutie." I giggled.
He pulled me up and grabbed me by the waist, he kissed me softly and said "Anything to make you happy."
I started into his eyes. What the fuck just happened. I blinked back into reality and pushed him away falling over the chair i was sitting on as I did. "Ow fuck!" I yelled in pain.
"Oh my god are you ok?" Max said as he helped me back to my feet.
"Yeah I'm fine." I said slightly in pain but not letting it show. "I was just a bit in shock because I didn't think you'd do that and I didn't think that was allowed and-" I ranted but he kissed me again to shut me up I guess. This man can't keep kissing me randomly.
"I'm sorry I just-" he paused and let out a deep sigh, tears started to fill his eyes a little. "It's just that after the whole bus accident I was scared I would lose you and I don't wanna lose you, Ally. I know dating people in the gang isn't allowed but I can't help my feelings towards you." He looked at the ground. I put my hand on his cheek and gave him a warm smile, "it's ok, Maxie." I gave him a hug.
