(hanahaki is a japanese myth thingy where if someone isn't loved by the person who they love, they cough up flower petals. They can get a surgery but it means they will lose all feelings for the person they once loved)

lol I just wanted to try a poetry type thing ahahaha

There was a beautiful art, in the way that the blood sodden flower petals fell into the toilet bowl. Red, red dyed the water into a dark crimson. I knew, of course, that I wanted to love my Alexander until my last, painful breath. Yet sometimes with the looks people gave me when I coughed up those scarlet petals in public were all enough reason to get the surgery.

"Y/N! I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU-" he burst through the door, just as I fell to the ground, pain overtaking my body. "B-before it's too late..." I was shaking on the floor. Bloody, red lips, pale skin, rapid breathing. He fell to the hard, wooden floorboards, and crawled towards me with pain evident on his face.

"My-" I heaved up some petals. "My Alexander..."

"Y/N,"

"Don't forget to come to my grave. Visit me, I'll be there. I'll listen, I'll try and help. Karma will be on your side. It'll be ok, I promise. And-" I sighed. "You know I never break a promise."

His heartbroken eyes, the eyes I loved so much, gazed into mine. He knew, he must've known all along.
"But- but Y/N, you can't leave me. You're my best friend." Those two words were enough. Enough for me to be forever gone in its own.

"Goodbye, Alexander. You've forever rendered me helpless. Find someone. Be satisfied. I know I wasn't good enough, but that's ok. I just wasn't a romantic love for you. But, make-" More petals came out of my mouth, choking me slightly. "Make sure you find a perfect woman."

*TIMESKIP*

"Y/N was killed by the Hanahaki disease on the 24th of November, 2020. (I'M SORRY IF THIS IS YOUR BIRTHDAY) She will always be remembered. God bless her soul. And- I loved her. Now she never get's to know."
