THE CHAMBER'S atmosphere was filled with solemnity. It was already dark in the evening. The light from the moon was peeking through the chamber's windows, but the light of the room was more apparent. They were in the upper chamber of the Arozel's Castle.

With a determined look, the blonde guy cast his eyes, one like a prism, to his should be last movement on the board. "I'm about to checkmate you," he claimed, without revealing his whole plan.

A light smile was plastered on his face. The rose-haired one beside him giggled as she clung her hands to his arm. "What now, Haider? Don't tell us that your pride will fall down now? Against my dearest seer." She tried to sound more provocative.

But his opponent's unwavering wit and dominance never faltered. Kaine continued to observe his movements, but there's no trace of anxiety in his eyes, not even tension. He played it like it's just a child's play.

"Stop your clinginess, Seile. It's disgusting," he suddenly blurted.

He didn't mind at all.

"Huh? Don't stick your nose to someone's business!" She fussed.

Kaine laughed a bit. "She just likes to stay in my embrace."

He placed his next movement on the board. "I wouldn't be surprised now if you two had already done that."

Her face flushed in an instant. "What the hell, Haider! What were you even thinking? It's not—!"

Kaine's smile remained as he chuckled calmly. "Very unlikely,"

With a grimace, she stood up from their sit. The guy there remained serene with his eyes closed, head lowly inclined, and his arms crossed. "Hoy, Tristan! 'Wag kang matulog d'yan at pagsabihan mo nga 'tong kapatid mo!"

He slightly opened his eyes, but did only ignored them.

"Why do you need my presence here in the first place?" Tristan muttered to himself, irritated. But no one heard it.

"Checkmate."

Nagulat ito sa nakita. What a turn of events.

"You deceived me, Haider," his eyes turned jaded as he cast a glance at the chess pieces. "Is that your way of distracting? What a bizarre play."

"I'll suggest you to focus more next time."
