A nice Evening

It was the time of twilight. Gentle breeze was flowing across the river side. I was sitting on the bank, enjoying the beautiful view. Suddenly he gasped my hand and asked me, " Did you fight with your Mom again Victoria? " "Yeah, it isn't something new Ryan." Ryan is my bestfriend and also the only friend that I have. We grew up together since the middle school. He was always with me. Supporting me through everything, encouraging me to pursue my dreams and last but not least, he always became the shelter whenever I had conflicts with my Mom. Yes I don't have a great relationship with my mom. She is an alcoholic. After my Dad left her, she has always been like this and we had numerous arguments regarding many different issues. " She stole the money that I saved for my higher studies in Deemland. " "What?! You worked so fucking hard for the savings. How could she do that?! " "I know, but it's gone now and I had a massive fight with her. I'm not going back to that house. Enough is enough. " "Well you can stay in my house and also there is only a week left for your university application. I think you should lend some money from me and fill the forms. You can pay them later you know! It's really important for you to persue your dream. Don't give up Victoria! " "Thank you so much Ryan. You have always supported me through everything and I will always be grateful for that."

9 Days later

Hi Victoria, You are selected as one of our students and we are cordially waiting for you to join your classes at Deemland Central University.

Yes, the application got accepted and now I have to think about a new house and a new job in order to pay for my expenses. God knows what is ahead of this new journey. Tomorrow is the first day of my class, I've been dreaming about this day since I was a kid. A great honor of being a DCU's student. With the plannings and schedule of tomorrow's class in my head , I just suddenly fell asleep.

Next day Morning

I woke up so early, got an ironed dress, had a shower and got on Ryan's bike. He has been so helpful lately. "Don't be nervous Victoria. Everything will be fine. Just focus on your studies. I'm always here for you. " Suddenly my subconscious mind thought, isn't that something a mother should have said to her daughter's first day of college? "Hey, you listening? " "Yeah absolutely! I'll try my best Ryan." Probably he realized my tension and nervousness and gave me a warm hug when we finally reached the college. His familiar warm smile felt nice more than anything else at the moment. "Good luck! I'll wait for you after your class. See ya. " "Sure, I'll call you. Byee." I looked forward and saw the college building. It was really big and ancient. There was no one in front of the College either. At first I felt weird but gradually I convinced myself and entered the ancient and beautiful college building with a mysterious vibe.
