"Here you go, madam." I announced forcing a bright happy smile at the customers whom paid for their rented out movies about the golden girls comedy movie.

"Thank you so much young lady." The elderly woman thanked me for my hard work and dedication to this job and smiled oddly sweetly at me before linking her arms with the fella and walked out of the store.

'Another working day another week of exhaustion coming up.' I thought to myself sighing hopelessly as I blankly stared at the big clock displaying romain numerals in rusted copper numbers on the first wall when you walk into the store.

'Why does school have to be boring with depressed teachers?' I asked myself in my spacious mind as I nibbled on the inside of my cheeks.

The loud ass bell rung loudly indicating that a new customer just arrived as I stood up straightening my posture to be professional and I forced a smile on my face as the two annoying boys who keep on coming in here annoying the heck outta me.

"Well, well, well...isn't it our girl best friend's older sister, Naomi." The one with the deeper voice named Edgar stated trying to sneak a joke in.

"Can we borrow something from your house?" Alan immediately asked knowing where the conversation was heading in a few seconds from now.

"First of all, if it isn't buying anything in the store then it is considered trespassing but you're my younger sisters best friends who are brothers and run a comic book store and warn almost everyone in this entire town about vampires and second of all, don't ask me as my mom." I replied snarkily at Edgar's statement and I answered Alan's question.

"Come on, if we ask Rosaline or your mom....they might kill us...." Alan sighs breathing his answer out as I shook my head no and turned around and slid a drawer out to put the old broken vhs tapes in and closed it.

"Let's go, I never liked her anyways." Edgar grabbed Alan's shoulder leading him out of the store and waved a goodbye at me and then pulled a face at me.

"Kids." I tatted out as I sighed at my own comment and I continued staring pointedly at the clicking clock on the wall for my shift to be over.

Then the bell rung again and some guy in my age with nice tanned mocha peach skin and a somewhat blow out hairstyle of his own appearing in his dark fawn brown hair and wearing a leather biker jacket and a young person next to him.

'The guy looks hot but the younger one looks cute but not my age.' I thought as my eyes traveled across the room and landed on the pair of boys roaming around the various isles of the store.

"Can we go do something other than being a junkie?" The young guy asked in an annoyed way as I suppressed a laugh.

"Can you please shut up and leave me alone?" The older guy retorted and dismissed even sparing a glance at his assumed brother.

"Fine..." The younger one rolled his eyes agreeing with his older brother and walked in my direction spotting my gaze at him.

"Hi." He greets me and I smiled sweetly back but not in a flirty or romantic way.

"Hey, you need any help?" I greeted him back returning to my profession job and manner.

"Do you have a comic book section in this store?" The younger brother of the hot dude asked as he leaned his body weight against the stores countertop.

"Sorry," I apologetically stated turning my smile down a bit at the fact of breaking the kids heart with the sad news, "We don't sell comic books....but we do sell comic movies based off of the sequel books." I answered thinking fastly and lightened my smile up yet again.

"Nah, I'd rather have a comic book..." He says rather disappointedly and in a flumsy way.

"You like comic books, don't you?" I asked making a small conversation with him.

"Yea." He replied estatically when speaking about his favorite thing to read.

"Which one's do you like?" I asked continuing the conversation.

"Superhero one's." He answered slightly calmed than before as he still showed his smile at me.

"Are you and your brother new around here?" I asked concerned trying to wrap my head around the two in the store.

"Yea, we just moved into this place this morning." He answers me as his smile fades ever so slightly.

"Don't be sad. Trust me when I moved it was hard at first but then you start getting used to the town and the people living in it and then you feel a deep connection with the towns history wanting to learn more about it." I stated whole heartedly and I then decided to briefly tell him how I started out in the town.

"Really?" He asked not confused but confused.

"Yeah, all you need to do is make friends with people your age and seriously connect with them and you'll learn your way around everything else." I happily replied back at him and we exchanged graceful small smiles.

Then his older brother came over out the corner of my eye and in a slow timid pace.

"What is your name?" His younger brother asked me taking a quick peek at his older more hotter brother.

"Naomi Foch, and yours?" I told him in the sweetest way possible and then asked the same thing.

"Sam Emerson." He stuck his hand out and I smiled trying not to giggle nor laugh but I shook his hand anyway and I slightly nodded my head at him.

"Um....sam let's go...." His older brother walked up to Sam and tapped him on his shoulder and nodded his head towards the door.

"Naomi! You can leave early!" Max, my boss, barked sweetly at me.

"You sure?!" I asked concerned about this sudden instruction.

"I'm sure, enjoy the rest of the night and seriously enjoy the weekend." He stated nodding his head at me and I smiled happily at him and I ran over and thanked him and hugged him in a thankful hug and thanked him a million times and docked myself out of my shift and grabbed my dark blue bleached washed out jacket with some white see-through lace lacing the ends of the jacket and I threw it over my shoulders and stuck my arms through the sleeves of it and I folded the collar on the outside and I pulled it closer smiling brightly to myself and turned around and waved at Max and opened the store door.

I then turned around after getting out of the store and pushed the door closed and locked it knowing Max would go out through the back and I turned around stuffing my copy of the store keys inside of my semi-tight jean pockets and looked up ahead of me.

'My shift was supposed to end at 9 tonight....weird why Max let me go home early...' I thought to myself and I shook my head shaking the negative wondering thoughts out of my head and skipped down the stairs and walked along the wood oak boardwalk.

'What can I do? I can go to the Tim concert at 8....or I can go to the carnival and walk along the beach taking in the nightfall darkened scenery?' I thought to myself and I asked myself the question and I then gave myself some options and I then chose the second option.
