𝐈𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 | 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐭 𝐱 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀

The bright sun shined through the windows hitting my closed eyes. I sat up rubbing my eyes and looked around. I had fallen asleep with papers everywhere. 

I cleaned up all of the papers of the notes to the song I finished writing last night, but something clicked in my head. Shit I have school today.

It had only been 7am so I had about 30 minutes to get ready and 10 minutes to get to school, plenty of time. I rushed over to my closet and slipped on some ripped mom jeans and an over sized graphic tee. I wore converse and a bucket hat to finish off the outfit. 

Grabbing my backpack and keys I walked out my front door and started walking to school. I walked in silence, only the sound of cars driving by and the wind hitting the trees came to my ear. 

I pulled out my AirPods from my bag and slipped them in my ear. I grabbed my phone and started playing Khai Dreams on Spotify. Fireflies was the first song to play. 

Tapping my feet to the beat of the music I was interrupted by a tap on the shoulder. I quickly turned around looking to who had tapped my shoulder. Tommy.

"Hello Tommy." I spoke turning back around and continuing my journey to school. He runs up next to me.

"Don't you live a little farther from school? Why not drive?" I question looking to him.

"I can drive, but my parents use the car for work, and I like walking." He replied, I nodded.

Eventually we made it to school and we walked into our class.

"Today and for homework, you will be doing an egg drop design. You will be put with a partner and have until Friday to finish your design." She continued explaining what materials we could use and the rules. Then she called out our partners.

"Jack and Ben." 

"Ethan and Lily."

"Jenny and Kayla."

"Gavin and Molly."

"Y/n and Tommy." 

I looked over to Tommy and caught his eyes looking to me. He smiled and I felt my face turn a light shade of pink so I quickly looked back to Ms. Bee

"We will test the egg drop on Friday, you have the rest of the school day to work on it, along with it being homework for after school." Ms. Bee announced placing down the piece of paper with our names on it. 

"So let's get started shall we?" Tommy asked, I nodded 

Grabbing a piece of paper we wrote down what we could use for the design.

"Straws, Tape." I spoke as Tommy wrote it down

"Uhh, Plastic and Paper?" Tommy asked looking to me, I nodded

"I think that's all we will need for now." I said, Tommy dropped the pencil and we walked to the table full of materials.

I picked out straws and some tape. Tommy picked up the plastic and paper. 

Time Skip

Tommy and I had been drawing out a few designs until we finally found one that might work. 

"Alright, times up. This is now homework for you all." Ms. Bee announced

Everybody packed up their materials and cleaned up their desks.

We now moved on to history, then math, science, and finally technology.

The bell rang. I packed up my books and made sure I had my materials for the egg drop. I started walking out of the classroom but I was stopped by Tommy.

"So, when would you like to work on the project?" Tommy asked

"Uhm, you could come over right now to my house. If that's fine with you." I spoke

"Yea sure, I'll just tell my mom I'll be home a bit later." He replied, I nodded as we walked down the halls of the school

We walked to my house from the school. Unlocking the front door we stepped onto the wood flooring and walked up to my room. 

"Hopefully this design will work." I spoke taking out the materials 

"Yea, hopefully." Tommy replied

Time Skip

Tommy and I had finished our project. 

"Hey I better get going now." Tommy spoke

"Alright." I replied, Tommy packed up all his stuff

"Oh, uhm could I possibly get your number?" Tommy asked standing up.

"Yea, sure." He handed me his phone and I saved my number in his contacts.

"Cya." He said opening my room door and walking down the stairs, I followed him until we got to the front door.

"Bye." I spoke as he walked out, I waved to him and he waved back.

Another Time Skip

I was laying down in my room scrolling through Tik Tok, and then I got a message from Tommy.

Tommy

Hello

Tommy

Are you busy right now?

Y/n

Nope.

Tommy

Oh alright, wanna call?

Y/n

Sure

Tommy

Alright I'll call you 

              Tommy is calling you

"Helloooo," I heard a voice come from my phone

"Hi"

"What are you up to?" He asked

"Nothing really, just Tik Tok. How about you?"

"I was just playing Minecraft." 

"Ooo, I used to play that a little when I was younger. But I guess I got bored of it."

"Oh"

"Anyways, I'm gonna be practicing my song I just wrote. Let me know if I'm being to loud." 

"You write music?" 

"Oh, uhm yea. I've written a few, they have actually gotten slightly popular on youtube."

"Oh that's cool, my friend actually writes music too."

"That's cool" I said smiling 

I picked up my guitar and started playing Seasonal Depression.

Time Skip

I let out a deep breath and set down my guitar

"Wow, your really good at singing Y/n." 

"Thanks." 

Tommy and I stayed on FaceTime all night, I ended up falling asleep on call.
