Emmie was relieved. She and her mom had finally arrived at their new home.
They had been driving for hours and to Emmie what seemed like an eternity.
They had been on the road the last few days. They were moving to a new town because he mom got a promotion within her job.
The moving truck had already gone ahead and set up the house for them.
Emmie was concentrating on texting her friends that she had to move away from telling them she would miss them.
...
They pulled into the driveway of the house a few minutes later....
" And we're home sweetie " she said.
Emmie said...
" Oh great "
Her mom said...
" Cmon now sweetie I know you are not happy with this. But it's for the best." " And also for me as well with work and money."
Emmie just huffed and crossed her arms.
...
They got out of the car and walked into the house.
They saw all thier stuff set up nicely.
Emmie walked down a hallway to what was going to be her new room.
...
She opened the door and saw all her old stuff but she also saw that the room had a connected door to her mom's room.
....
Emma yelled
" MOM!!"
Her mom came running...
" What's wrong sweetie?"
Emmie replied
" Why are our rooms connected?"
" I'm supposed to have my own private room with privacy "
Her mom said
" Calm down sweetie. It was a design flaw. The movers noticed it and texted me. The house was designed for someone with a baby.... but don't worry sweetie we'll make it work"
Emmie just sat on her bed and pouted.
Her mom hugged and kissed her saying
" I love you sweetie. It will be ok."
Emmie scoffed...
" Love you too. Just don't walk in on me if I'm naked"
Her mom giggled and laughed.
" Please I've been seeing you naked since you were a baby "
Emmie just huffed again
" Whatever mom"
Emmie just laid on her bed texting her friend again...
She said to her she would try to make the best of it.
