Chapter 2: Alive

Mikasa's POV

"Its getting late guys" i said
"I agree, i think we should get going-"
Armin was cutted off by the sound of lightning inside the woods.
"This sound, that light! Is it a titan?!" Jean yelled
"Impossible, not one of us is either to transform into a titan now" Reiner replied to jean
"One way to find out is carefully take a look at it" connie said as he ran towards the fading light as everyone followed.

As soon as we entered the woods we saw a familiar figure walking towards us, the figure seemed exhausted and weak though it was a tall brunette.
"Hey isnt that.." connie pointed at the figure.

"Isn't that ymir?"
We all went silent staring into each other, we barely even notice ymir falling unconscious in a distance.
"Armin, ymir went down!" Annie said as Armin then ran followed by Jean and Reiner.

After Reiner carried ymir in his back, we went back to my place in Shiganshina.
"How can this be happening?" Connie asked totally confused why the freckled girl whom we all thought dead just appeared out of nowhere, weak and tired.
"From what i remember.. ymir was eaten by porco, so.. how can she be alive now?" Reiner spoke as we heard ymir mumble "his.....to....ri....a..."

Ymir's POV

It hurts, my body.. my head... Historia ...

(Flashback in the afterlife)

"Oh and ymir, i almost forgot to tell ya. When you're gonna be alive again, you might notice some changes in your body" Eren said
"Wait what do you mean changes?" I asked
"You'll see" eren replied
"Bye ymir, goodluck" sasha said as everything went white.

(End of flashback)

I groaned at the feeling of something in my forehead. When i opened my eyes i saw some familiar figures, it was mikasa, jean, armin and reiner.
"Ymir!" Armin said
"You're alright, thank goodness" jean spoke after armin
"Guys...im sorry..." I said
"Why are you saying 'sorry' for?" Mikasa asked
"Im sorry for being a traitor and died... I've wasted so much time...now even historia is..." I started crying
Everyone went silent.

We heard the door open, and there entered Annie and Pieck
"Wait, woah Ymir haven't seen you in like 7 years! You look like shit" Annie said as a gave her a death glare.
I sat up from my bed and wiped some of my tears.
"I regret everything... And now...i cant...i cant be with her anymore..."
"Ymir how did you know about historia getting married and having a family?" Connie asked
"Sasha told me..."
Everyone's eyes widen when i mentioned sasha's name.
"I see.." Connie replied

"Ymir.. you don't know how hurt historia is.." jean said, while i just stayed quiet
"She even wrote you some letters but she kept it in her drawer for.. years.. because she knew it was useless because you were dead..." Jean added
I bursted more in tears, im so selfish..
Jean handed me a paper and i opened it of course and read it.

To my dearest ymir,

Its been 4 years since you left with reiner and bertholdt.. and guess what? I became the queen here in Paradis, haha sorry if i didn't tell you sooner... I..i..have some quite of a news...im pregnant...but it isnt out of love...i only love you ymir...only you and always you.. the commanders forced me to get married and bare children for Paradis.. its so hard.. i miss you so much.. thank you for brighting up my world.. thank for being my first love... I'll see you there soon..

Sobs and cries filled up the room, i cried so hard. Mikasa, armin, jean and connie hugged me
"Its gonna be alright ymir.." mikasa said
"Yeah... We'll find a way for you and historia to be together again.." armin replied to mikasa

We all stayed like this until i fell asleep again, im still tired then everything went black.
