Unfortunately for Hoseok, he had forgotten that Seokjin and Jimin were going to visit their parents back home, leaving Hoseok without another place to stay. He whined to them over the phone, even pleading to let him break into their apartment, but they stubbornly refused.
"Don't worry Hobi, ghosts can't hurt you. Just make friends with it! When I come back, if you're still scared, I will perform a ghost-purge on your apartment." Seokjin placated.
Hobi was pretty sure he could make out Jimin in the background saying, "Is "ghost purge" the technical term for it?" mockingly and a muffled "OW!"
Hobi only grumbled his acceptance.
Three days later, and Hoseok still hadn't returned to his apartment. He stayed at a jjimjilbang for two nights, but he couldn't keep staying at a bath house forever. It was on the third night that Hoseok found himself sitting alone on a park bench. He wouldn't let himself stay at a jjimjilbang for a third night, but he also couldn't quite muster up the courage to go back home.
Hoseok was exhausted, the jjimjilbang wasn't the most comfortable place to stay a night, and he kept waking up every hour, tossing and turning all night. By the third day, he was basically a walking zombie. He contemplated how bad it would be if he just slept right there on the park bench. So what if people thought he was homeless? Maybe it would be easier to return to his ghost infested apartment in the daylight. He desperately hoped so, as he found his eyes dropping before he could help it. Did he even want to fight it?
"Sleep Hoseok, just sleeeepppp~" He didn't need further temptation.

Yoongi was walking back to his apartment after yet another day of no leads. They had been trying to find loose ends and clues in any of the victims' cases. He thought finally they would have more information to work with since the last case had a witness, but "male wearing normal clothes" wasn't exactly incriminating evidence. The victim had also died not long after being rushed to the hospital, which was horrible in so many ways. Not only because yet another innocent soul had died, but also because they couldn't interview him to know what exactly had happened.
There were no footprints on the ground, no security cameras that captured the guy, and not a single piece of DNA, it was like the guy was a ghost.
"A murdering ghost." Yoongi thought.
He was just passing the park when he saw a figure lying on a bench. It wasn't often that he saw homeless people in Seoul, but technically they weren't allowed to camp out on park benches. Yoongi was about to let it slide when he realized that this homeless figure looked familiar.
"Hoseok?" Yoongi called out to the man as he made his way to stand in front of him. He hadn't seen the other since the bike incident.
Hoseok shifted but it was pretty clear to Yoongi that he was asleep. Yoongi couldn't just leave him though, it was clear the murderer worked in the Mapo area, and targeted both women and men of every age, it seemed, as long as they were good looking. And Hoseok...
He was up there on the good-looking ladder.
"Hey, Hoseok." Yoongi called again, shaking his shoulder.
"W—whaa?" Hoseok's voice was small as his eyes blinked open. When he finally made eye contact with Yoongi he jumped away, "A—ahhh! Ghost!" He yelped trying to fight Yoongi off, but it was clear the man didn't have much energy in him.
"What?" Yoongi said trying to dodge the hands weakly aimed for his face, "I'm not a ghost, it's me—Min Yoongi?"
Hoseok finally calmed down, squinting at the other with a confused look on his face.
