Chapter 1: In the cell
I stared outside my tiny window, not even big enough to fit my head. Police offices roamed the fields, walking back and forth with huge metal bats. A large gate with barbed wire on top sat in front of the guards. I sighed as I kicked the wall next to me. How was I ever going to get out of this place? The only things in my cell were a dirty table and chair, a rusty looking toilet, and a bed with fleas jumping around.
"Kayleebear4680, come to the office!" A gruff voice shouted over a loudspeaker. A cop came over and opened my cell door. I sprinted off my bed and decided to make a run for it, but the cop's strong arm snatched my arm. I struggled to get free, but the cop wouldn't let me go. My orange jumpsuit teared a bit, and the cop loosened his grip.
"Stop it," he demanded as he put handcuffs on me. The metal handcuffs shimmered under the sun shining through my window, and I knew I couldn't escape. He dragged me to an office around the corner of the prison hallway, and before I got separated from my cell, I managed to grab a metal pick from the ground, and then I met up with a big door that said, "Manager's office."
