Y/n POV

"Joeyyy!!!" I yelled for my two year old son as I chase him to get ready for work. His daycare shutdown for a week due a lice outbreak luckily Joey was clean but I have to take him along to work. Hopefully, Clara doesn't mind. As I finally caught him, I got us dressed and started our journey with Joey safely in his car seat playing with his toys.

—After Drive—

Once I parked in the staff parking I swiftly grabbed Joey and made my way to class. As we passed the halls students turned and awed at Joey's shy demeanor. Once we arrived to class Mrs. Jauregui was faced towards the board writing the students assignments. "Clara! How are you?" I spoke up catching her attention. Once she saw Joey she instantly took him from my arms "Jojo! How's my little man?!" She smiled seeing him giggle. "Tia Lala!!" Joey screamed excited seeing the older women we've come to know as family. "Hello Y/n, what's Jojo doing here? Is everything ok?" She asked growing concerned. After I explained the situation we set up Joey's play area and got ready for class. I have been working as Clara's teaching assistant for nearly 2 years as I've been working on my teaching degree. I had moved to Miami from Texas with my ex-fiancé Dana we both had athletic scholarships to university of Miami. Til she ended up pregnant with my kid, we decided to drop out and focus on supporting our family everything was going fine til she left me for her supervisor. Ever since then we haven't heard from her, I've moved on and focused on supporting my son.

——Later in the Day——

Lauren's POV

"Hi I'm looking for my moms class? Clara Jauregui?" I told the front receptionist. "Ok, just sign in here and she's in classroom 270" the older women stated. I quickly signed in and made my way with the food for my mom. I just moved back to Miami after being away in LA for a couple years. Today I finished settling in and thought of surprising my mom with lunch. Once I made it past the hormone driven teens and found my mom's classroom I heard the faint giggle of a baby. I smiled and made my way in seeing my mom playing with beautiful golden baby boy, who had beautiful dark brown curls, bright green eyes and sweet dimples. " Awe Mami! Who is this?" I smiled at the baby who giggled looking up at me. My mom swiftly turned and smiled making her way toward me with the baby on her hip. "Lauren mija!" She pulled me into hug allowing me to get a better look of the Hispanic child." This is Joey, my teaching assistants son. She'll be right back she went to make some copies." She said looking at Joey then me. "Hello little one" I said playing with his cheeks. He smiles and reaches for me, I happily take him and start playing with him and catching up with my mom. "Clara, are you sure these are enough copies?" A tall tatted brunette made her way in looking over a stack of papers in her hand. "Oh? Hi, sorry I didn't know you had visitor" she stated looking toward us. "Lauren mija, this is Y/N L/N she's my teaching assistant and mother of Joey, Y/N this is my daughter Lauren" my mom said as she stood up taking the stack from Y/n. "Ah yes the singer, it's nice to meet you Lauren" she smiled and offered her hand, I giggled and shook it causing Joey to giggle.

Y/N's POV

"Hey there papito, you having fun with Lauren?" I smiled and tickled my son causing him to giggle and snuggle into Lauren. "How old is he?" The green eyed goddess asked. "He's almost three right papito?" I said grabbing our lunch before sitting next to her and Joey, he nodded and put up three fingers. "So Lauren how long are you in town for?" I asked as I handed Joey his sandwich and put his juice box down. "I'm actually here to stay, I finished moving in today" she said keeping her eyes on Joey and helping him eat, I couldn't help but smile and admire her. A cough from Clara caused me to tear my gaze and see her give me a smirk. We stayed talking and getting to know each other till the bell rang signaling lunch was over. We began cleaning up and prepping for the next class. "Oh mija? Do you have everything ready for your housewarming party?" Clara states causing Lauren to look up and make a cute thinking face. "I'm pretty sure Mami. Oh  Y/n? I know we just met but I'd love for you and Joey to come it's on Saturday." Lauren looks at me smiling with bright eyes. "We would love too ren, maybe I could get your number? You know for the details" I smiled nervously as she nodded and took my phone. "Smooth" Clara mouthed to me causing me to chuckle and focus on the brunette in front of me. "Thanks" I said as she handed it back and saw she put her self as "Joey's new mommy" causing me to giggle. "I have to get going mami I have a recording session soon" she said getting up and hugging her mom goodbye still carrying Joey. "I believe this is mine" I chuckled taking Joey and putting him on my shoulders. She pouted and reached out for him. "Awe I'm gonna miss you Jojo be good okay?" She said taking him and kissing his cheek. Lucky. He nodded and kissed her cheek "I guess he likes you" I smiled taking him back. "Who doesn't?" She she smirks flipping her hair playfully. " True. Well it was nice meeting you Lauren" I smiled taking her hand it mine. She blushed and looked down "It was nice meeting you too Y/n, I'll be expecting your text." She looked up smirking and kissing my cheek before walking away swaying her hips. I stayed watching flustered in a trance till I felt Clara hit my head with the copies rolled up. "Watch those eyes L/N". I laughed and started dancing around with Joey causing him to giggle.
