“what?”, Cross looks at you in confusion but you simply let out a huff of laughter as your blush withers away, “you asked me what my favorite quote was, silly!” you exclaim, giggling. Cross blushes as embarrassment emanates from him, “oh..” he says. “mweh heh heh” you laugh, sockets closed with tears bubbling up from amusement.
“it’s okay, dream is also actually distracted easily and also forgets our stemming question, i’m quite used to it” you say, trying to reassure him, it seems to work as his shoulders drop to a more comfortable level and his embarrassment dies down a bit. “do you want to leave now?” you ask, looking at a small clock on the wall.
“it’s pretty late, so why not?” he says, standing up and offering a hand to you, you take it after dropping a few pieces of gold onto the table top as a tip aside from what Cross puts for the main bill. You open a portal to your room, stepping inside while hand in hand with Cross.
You face him, “i had a lot of fun today, cross, you never disappoint”, that was your way of saying that you wanted to do things with him more often and complimenting him. He flushed as you leaned up and pressed your teeth to his cheek, your cheeks were aflame as you pushed the frozen oreo out of your room before shutting the door with a click of the lock.
You kick off your boots before sliding into bed, tired from all of your fun, they’d wake you for dinner anyway...
[It was pitch black, wherever you were. The usual vision of the tree, a stone dream, and blood and dust gone.
Though there was some light in the distance, and it must have been hot, since you could feel the heat of it from where you stood in the darkness.
You were corrupted at the moment but your teal eyelight was enough to light the ground for several paces in front of you. You feel heavy and really weak, the corruption rippling and becoming watery even though it stays on you.
You close your socket for a moment, the light in the distance seeming to have gotten either brighter or closer to your location. You squint, eyelight turning into a cat-like slit.
It’s an angel?
No, it’s something else. But it does, indeed, have wings.
The wings are a bright, fiery orangish yellow, and the figure resembles a Sans type skeleton, though a very tall one. The closer the figure gets the warmer and weaker you become.
It’s strange, not someone you know in the least.
But that’s crazy, the only other explanation is that they're invading your dream and the only ones who have access to the dreamscape are-.
You and Dream...
And other versions of you and Dream.
You turn away from the figure, scanning your surroundings with vigor as the warmth that weakens you grows stronger with each passing second.
IT HURTS...]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re awoken by a knock on your door and realize how heavy you feel, how weak you feel.
You groan as you sit up, feeling your clothes stick to your bones, sweat wetting the bed.
You push yourself up nonetheless, tugging your clothes off as you stumble into the shower. The hot water does little to ease your rapid thoughts, though you feel better physically.
Who was that? A Dream from a separate multiverse, yes but how? How did they find you? What did they want?
You shiver, mind coming back as the water begins growing cold, and shut off the shower. You dress in your usual style of attire; a dress shirt underneath a black and purple tunic, a small moon sewn into the breast area to the right, black dress pants, and your heeled black boots. You felt much more comfortable in the familiar clothing, the soft cloth rubbing against your sternum grounding you to reality.
You slip out of your room, allowing the servants to clean the room, and teleport right outside the doors of your dining room. When you push the large doors apart, you find that no one has begun eating yet, all present and sitting in their seats, waiting oh so patiently.
You allow a slight smile to cross your face before walking up to your chair with proud movements. You seat yourself, sparing a glance to Dream before looking to the rest. “well, your king has arrived, please, enjoy” you say with a cocky smirk to cover the warmth in your voice.
In an instant everyone is tearing at their food, all except you, you instead study the meal with a curious eyelight. You pause, raising a hand causing those around you to pause, even Horror. They all pay attention to you, curiosity wafting off of them.
“take this away, it’s drugged” you say, a couple of gasps ringing out, Dream frowning in dismay and worry. The plate is instantly taken away by a Sans guard. You sigh, this really wasn’t turning out to be your day.
You look at Razz at the end of the table, he poses as a caretaker in the dungeon and as the interrogator. “i trust you’ll find out what i need” you say, him nodding. “continue” you say, everyone bar a few, finishing their meal before leaving for their assignments or rooms.
Your inner circle and Dream approach you, feelings of dismay and worry emanating from them. “are you alright, brother?” Dream asks, a worried frown on his face as he cups your cheeks. You smile, cupping his hands with your own, “yes, however, this is the second time this has happened” you say, browbones furrowed.
Killer chuckles, flipping a knife, “you’d think after what you did the first time that nobody would even dare to plan it” he jokes, eyesockets dripping with new hate, and you could feel slight worry from him. Dream places a hand on his shoulder, trying to calm him.
“honestly, first the weird dream and now this, today really isn’t my day is it?” you mumble, trying to be quiet.
“wait, what?”
