Lunch Disaster

      I was already late. Thirty minutes late because the maintenance guy turned off my water. A week I've been living here and already I have no water, I had to run around and use Kat's bathroom to get ready. It was a mess. Even then I was on time, until my car decided to fuck itself and not work, nothing worked in that stupid old car I've had since I was sixteen, so I had to get an Uber, not a big deal except it took ten extra minutes to get to my apartment building and got lost for a further fifteen minutes only to drop me at the wrong café. I didn't want to deal with the drama. So I elected to walk 300 yards down the road which took a further five minutes.

What a great first impression Brennan gets, I'm late and slightly sweaty and stinky because of the walking. Kat rescued me and met me outside with some deodorant and powder, virtually saving my life.
     Finally I sit down and introduce myself to him.

"Hi, I'm y/n. It's really nice to meet you, sorry I'm such a mess this morning" I say with a slight chuckle and embarrassment in my tone.
"Hey I'm Brennan. I've heard a lot about you" he said with a smirk standing up, grabbing my hand and placing a kiss on my knuckles. A gentleman.
'he has soft lips' I thought to myself
"All good I hope" I can't help but let my smile show
"Can't all be good with you" I barley hear Colby say under his breath facing his plate.
My head whips as I try to keep my cool, I take a deep breath in, glaring at him while doing so.
"How nice to see you again Colby" I say in a passive aggressive manner.

And there it began, the tension between two ex's who left on bad terms. But I got to sit across from Brennan so whilst I caught up with Sam and Kat I got to know a little about Brennan.

"Pardon me, just need to visit the ladies room" I gently announce placing my utensils down and rising quietly.
And I do just that, standing in the mirror admiring myself in the dress I chose to wear, it was a pale blue mid length sundress that tied in the centre of my chest accentuating my breasts. I don't usually wear dresses but I felt really confident this morning and couldn't help myself.
Just as I open the door Colby is standing there blocking my exit, his arms stretched to the top of the door frame. His muscles and veins protruding and I can't help but stare at the tattoo on his left bicep, I manage to make out what it says.. 'gone temporarily but never not loved'
Forced to back in to the restroom he follows me in closing the door behind him, leaning against the door blocking my exit. Arms behind his back. Biceps still pulsating.

"Looking good sugar" he said with a smirk

Sugar, no ones called me that in months, that's what he would call me.

"What do you want Colby" I say back with an attitude and raised eyebrow.
"Just wanted to have a conversation, alone. Away from everyone else. To, clear things up I guess." my heart sank. I didn't know what would happen next, all the flashbacks from bad past relationships hit me.
"Too bad because I was just leaving" I say walking towards the door, not really considering him leaning against it

I barge into his side pushing him out of the way and before I can open it more than a couple inches he slams it shut and grabs me round the waist, pushing me against the door, one arm pressed again the door next to my face and the other tracing my body. From caressing my face to brushing over my nipples, stopping just before he would get to my clit.

"I said! I wanted to talk! You should know not to walk out on me. It makes me angry" staring me in the eyes I can't help but notice the thin scar below his eye
"Colby let me go." I say to him sternly.
Still tracing my figure he stops at my cleavage pulling the dress down stopping before anything is exposed.
"Now. It's needs to be make clear that a year ago YOU left me. YOU walked out on me and YOU gave up on us" he said emphasising every third word
"I gave up!! Are you SERIOUS Colby!! You got angry and drunk and CHEATED on me. Not the other way around" I had never been so appalled in my life. How could he even try and blame this on me.
"I know I just wanted to see you angry babe" his arms moving back to his side and leaving a clear exit.

Before I lash out at him I walk out of the door and sit down. Not a minute later does a Colby do the same.

"Was everything alright in there y/n?" Kat asked glancing as Colby.
"Yeah just dropped my bag and everything spilt out everywhere" it was the first thing that came to my head and all I can hope is she doesn't realise I left my bag under the table.

Colby snickered under his breath. He frustrated me so much and yet the sexual tension between us is like that of a couple of teenagers. There is no way Colby is slithering into my life and bringing me back to old habits.
