Cotton Candy

A summers day

It was a hot summer day. The sun shined brightly on Maro warming his skin. As he walked through the center of town, he looked at all the food trucks lined up along the sidewalk. He walked up to an ice-cream truck handing his money to the ice cream man. As the man handed him his cookies and cream ice cream something caught his eye. A beautiful man who seemed around Maro's age with beautiful black hair blowing in the gentle breeze. He was tall and had blue ripped jeans and a black t-shirt. Maro felt his heart skip a beat as he felt butterflies in his stomach. Taken aback he dropped his ice-cream on the hot pavement as it melted just like his heart. He wondered what this feeling was. He saw the ice-cream man was staring at him as he gawked at this handsome stranger and decided to leave and head to the library to meet his friend Marie.

 He walks into the library and sees Marie sitting waiting for him waving him over, and he sits down next to her. " So do you know what dorm you're gonna be in yet?" Marie asked excitedly. She had already put in her application online and got hers and was hoping they would be in the same building. However Maro being the forgetful idiot he is completely forgotten. Maro sits there for a second, staring blankly at her until he finally processes what she just said. " I'm sorry I have to go!" he quickly ran off.

 Online registration was already closed to Maro made his way, dashing down sidewalks to reach the college. By the time he got there he was completely exhausted and luckily for him they were open. He staggered to the front desk. " Hello, I'm Maro I'm here to register for a dorm." He says between gasp for air. The small old lady behind the counter looked at her computer, " Ah, you're in luck we have one room still available in building C." " Thank you so much!", Maro smiled as she gave him his room number. He sat down for a moment to catch his breath he made his way back home planning to enjoy as much of his summer as possible before finally starts college.
