Ray had just awoken from her deep slumber and hopped in the shower. It was 5:00 in the morning of this special day:"bring your child to work day"
Laura had decided to go and so she got excused from school while Ocean thought she couldn't miss even one day and chose not to go.

"So mom, you work at a bakery, right?" "Yeah" "How long is the drive?" "5 more minutes" "okay...so what are you baking today?" "Well, I bake a lot of things like cake, bread, buns, danishes, donuts, COOKIES, etc." "Hm...must taste good" "yup!" "Can't wait to try it when we get there" "what" "what" "Laura, what does that mean? You want me to put some aside for you?" "Yeah!" "Ok-oh! We're here! Get out the car"

They parked and got out entering the bakery "Hey, Ray!" "Hi, Keisha" "oh! You must be Ray's daughter, Laura! She always talks about you, sweetheart" Keisha smiled at her as Laura faked a large smile that she believed was real. The lady went to the back. "Mom who was that lady? Her makeup was real messed u-" "Laura! You can't say stuff like that! Anyway, that's Keisha; another worker" "oh"

Ray went to the back getting new gloves on and an apron. "Uh...Laura can you get more flour from the back?" "Sure" a loud boom was heard "...opps...my hand must've slipped..." "Laura! That was the last bag of flour! G-Greg! Please, come help me clean this mess..." a bald man came in view. "Young lady, please back up" Laura went near the table.

"Yeah, sit there🙂" Laura nodded sitting on the table as Ray turned around to take off the apron. "Mom, where you going?" "To get more flour. Can you please mix that batter together and-*gasp*" Ray turned around. "Laura! Get off the table!" "Hm? Oh...sorry" she jumped off walking towards the counter where the bowl of mixture sat. As Laura wisked it together, she was thinking intensely about what John, Marcus, Trey, and Crystal were doing that moment in school.

She was so deep into thinking, she may have put a bit of seasoning that shouldn't go in cake mistaking it to be cinnamon(pepper, mustard, parmesan cheese)without realizing and you see what happened is that she was so very confused when she looked down at the mixture... "oh! Oh-no...I didn't even realize what I was doing... Eh, whatever! I JUST ADDED MORE FLAVOR" She continued mixing before feeling the sudden urge to scatch her head and felt all these knots tying up in her hair.

"Um...miss. Keisha? Can I put it in the oven?" "Sure! You're doing great in replacement of your mom, sweetie" "thanks!" Laura practically threw it in the oven..no, like litterally...
"Oh, let me set up the time for baking" Keisha walked to the oven. "Oh my gosh! Did this child just put a glass bowl-the mixing bowl straight in the oven-nevermind...that's none of my buisness" Keisha divided it into baking pans before starting to put it to bake.

~~~\\\\1 Hour Later////~~~
Ray came back like 20-30 minutes ago and they then took out the cakes from the oven. "Okay! Now the customers are about to start coming in so start boxing these and put some on display!" Ray said gently taking them out of the pans. "Eww! Who's nasty hair is this!? kEISHA! YOU GOT YOUR NASTY NOSE HAIR IN THE CAKE"
~~~\\\\A few moments later////~~~
"Laura, take this to table 5" "ok" Laura took the plates of cake bringing it to the people at table 5. "Here is your cake, ma'am" the lady stared as Laura breathed all up on her cake. "...*hesitant* Thank-" "you know what? Since you don't seem to want it, I'll just eat it for you" Laura shoved it in her mouth "I-" "oh, you wanted it? Well I mean I could give it back to you still if I cough it up-" "stop! I'm leaving! I rate you guys 0 stars! I WIL NEVER come back here again!"

The lady grabbed her stuff, walking out.

~~~\\\\Going Home////~~~
"Laura, I'm so thankful for your help today in the store. You did awesome! Thank you!" "Of course!" "Y'know...you should come again" "yea! ...Maybe I should🤠😈"
