Shiela's Heart Problem
I'm already discharged now.
Before I left the hospital, the Doctor told me to get away from any stress since I am a student. He also told me that he noticed on my examination that I now have an existing heart problem.
That whole thing shocked me. I guess that's the actual reason of the symptoms that I've had since before. He also told me that my parents already knew about my condition so I should be more careful.
I think I should follow what the Doctor said. It's for my own good, actually. I don't want my parents to be worried too much about my health. From now on, I must take care of myself more than I do before.
“Shie, we already prepared breakfast for you. You should eat now,” Mom said.
“Thanks, Mom,” she smiled.
“Hurry up, baby. You'll be late for school,” Tita Alexa said.
“Yes, Tita. I'll just change first,” they both nodded.
I went upstairs to find a perfect clothes that I can wear to the Academy today.
Minutes came, I decided to wear a white blouse and pants too. In our Academy, we must wear our school uniforms on Monday and Tuesdays only and we can wear any thing on Wednesday until Fridays too. That's incredible, right?
When I was going downstairs, I could smell the foods that I will eat today. There were omelette, bacon, chopsuey, pinakbet and a strawberry juice on our table.
Mom eventually pulled a chair for me when she saw me coming.
“Have a seat, Shie. We both cooked all of that just for you,” I nodded.
“You have to eat nutritious foods, baby. It's good for your health and for your heart too,” I smiled.
“Yes, of course Tita. I'm sorry for giving you both so much worries,”
“No, don't be sorry baby. We love you,”
“I love you both too,” they immediately hugged me that moment.
“You should be stress free, Shie. Do you understand?” I nodded.
“Yes, Mom. I promise I'll keep myself away from any kinds of stress,”
“That's good, Shie. I'm so glad,”
“It's for your safety, baby. Hope you truly understand us,”
“Yes, Tita. I understand,” she nodded.
I can see their love and care for me. I'm glad than I can lean on them whenever I'm in need.
Their cooking skills are both the best. I won't stop admiring them. I hope I be able to do everything just like them.
It's time to go.
“Mom, Tita Alexa, I guess I should go now. It's already time,”
“Oh, sure baby. You can go now,”
