It was very hard to convince Karina's boss to allow her lover to leave the facility with Nuada.
In truth it took her two days. Then it took a complete week because those who were working alongside her boss were apposed to the idea of the elfen prince leaving the building, in fear that he may cause another great disaster. Or worse, try to proceed with his previous plan in bringing back the golden army. But fortunately they were able to find a compromise, in which that if they return the same day, then there would be no issue.
Once the two had left the facility, Karina had dressed Nuada in some regular, modern day clothing. He was very skeptical at first and stared at his jeans in utter distaste, stating that they were very uncomfortable. But the female had told him to 'man up' and that it wasn't that much of a big deal.
From what she learned, Nuada had maneuvered his way throughout the city, from bellow.
Meaning: the sewers.
And she knew for a fact that she was NOT going to go down there. Hence why she made Nuada change, so that they could move freely around the city.Nuada had guided her to their destined location, and upon reaching the barrier that seperated the two worlds, the male decided to change into his usual attire.
The two had brought extra clothing for Nuada to change into, plus, some cloaks in order to hide their faces.
Excusing himself and getting out of Karina's view, said female was currently trying to put on her robe.
It was a bit weird, and she didn't know whether she was wearing it right, but she soon figured it out and was beginning to tie the little string that was in front of the garment when Nuada emerged to view.
He was wearing dark clothing with bright red embroidery and in all honesty, Karina had to admit that seeing him back into his usual clothing, was far better. Granted he looked great in a tight black shirt and jeans, but his style of clothing was just perfect for his persona, and al in all, suited him more in general. He wore his own robe, looked at Karina and gave her a gentle smile. Walking up to her, he lifted up their hoods, and as he took her hand, they began to make their way towards the beautiful and echanted world of the elfen prince, overstepping the barrier.
Karina was marveled at the beauty of the kingdom. The town was full of different types of creatures, most of them, obviously elves, but nonetheless, each specie seem to harmonize with one another.
Laughter filled the air as people were trafficking around with different types of merches.
The golden atmospher the sun gave to the entire land, almost seemed to make everything sparkle.Upon entering the kingdom, the first thing one saw, were the stalls that were filled with different types of food, spices and herbs; which were all lined close too each other.
But it certainly didn't end just there. More stalls filled with clothes, jewellery, paints and pigments. Parchments and various inks.
Going even further, there were stalls that sold intruments Karina had never seen before. The way they turned and twisted, glistening in the sunlight. Some stringed instruments, were crafted ina way to be long just like a the lenght of a harp, but they only had two or three strings, which was very odd, considering that it made the intrument look barren of its rightful tools to be able to play at its full extent. Karina couldn't help but wonder whether they were still in the making or not. And even if the musical crafts were already complete, she wondered how they sounded, and how they were played. Then, a collectin of Knives, swords, daggers made of pure silver, with intricate jewels that decorated their surface; came into view. What was more shocking is that some of these weapons had black blades, made from black metal, that did not shine in the sun light. Rather it seem to absorb it.
''What type of metal is this?'' The girl thought.
''Karina.''
It was then, that she finally came out of her daze. The male was gently grasping unto her shoulders and slightly shaking her. When she looked back at him, she expected a worried look, but all she saw was a broad smiling prince.
''I am pleased to know that you enjoy what you see so far, my snow flake. But I would like to show you much more, if you will allow me?''. He asked.
The amount of pride and joy that was present in his eyes was obvious. He was happy to see that she loved the place. It means that if they were to transfer, it wouldn't be so bad for her.
''Let me take you to the heart of the city. There are many shops that I am sure you will like.''
Karina smiled brightly, and once again, making the male's heart melt. She grabbed his hand and tightly held on as she motioned him to lead the way.
And so they ran.
The two ran and ran;
Across different stalls, different roads, different alleys. Some people yelled at them for almost knocking down their goods, but the couple didn't care.In truth, Nuada was surprised by his actions. He usually wasn't like this, and yet whenever he's with his beautiful maiden, he just doesn't seem to care about anything else anymore.
He always had fun with her. He could be who he is with her. And right now, he could even be a mere peasant, for he wore a cloak that masked his identity. Thus, he could forget about his princely etiquette. He could forget about manners and do as he pleases.
As her ran, he recognised this beautiful, huge maze that was called home.
His place of birth. The unpolluted air filled his lungs; the beautiful rays of sunshine that kissed the eath of his lands. His amusing subjects and hard working people, laughed and joyed together.
He ran passed the house on the old dwarf, Buboth Brewgranite. He use to always run over the elderly man's walls, which surrounded his small house, for he liked to keep to himself, and preserve his precious garden. Nuada remembered how he would play with his friends, and the old, short, man would chase them away with his ebony wooden stick.
Of course, all of this when he was way younger. Nothing but an elflin.Oh how he had missed all this.
He didn't want to admit it back then, but now, seeing the splendor of his own world, he couldn't help but feel all the bottled up notalgia take over him.
Karina on the other hand was simply smiling as she continued to watch her over enthusiastic companion. She knew he would be happy.
He was running with so much speed, it was hard to keep up. The way he stared back at everthing around him; the way his smile grew each second upon seeing familiar people and buildings.
She was happy she was able to convince him. Only to see that amazing smile on his face.
She was happy she could make him happy.''We have arrived.'' Said the male.
They had arrived in front of a big fountain with a statue at the center of the town's square. The statue was made of gold and the figure that was represented was of an old man who wore an odd crown. In realiy, the crown seemed to be a part of his skin, which made Karin wonder: ''Horns perhaps? No. They don't look like horns.''
Karina was very intrigued by the statue that she didn't notice that Nuada was trying to show her something else. Instead of paying attention, she cut the male short on whatever he was saying and asked the question that was bothering her.
''Nuada who is that?''
Upon turning around, he saw that she was pointing at the statue of a very important man.
He had completely forgot about it.
The prince cursed himself, wondering how a large thing like that couldn't have possibly caught his eye. In fact he wondered how he bloody forgot about the golden figure.
Nuada's body became extremely tense. Pondering on what o possibly say, and trying to come up with something quick. And when he did, he was about to reply when he was interrupted once more, but this time by a random passerby, who had called his name, and used his royal title. The couple finally noticed their surroundings, and saw that everyone in the open square was staring at them.
Confused they looked back at one another, and to their horror, in all the excitement, they hadn't noticed one very important detail.Their hoods were off. Thus their identities, revealed.
