It was currently 6:06am at the tree of life , everyone was asleep except for Kion, he was unable to sleep due to the fact that he was about to become king .
He decided to walk and explore the tree of life once again.
He frowned at the thought of not being a good king .
"Kion!" A voice shouted from afar .
Kion turned around and saw nothing .
his heart was beating fast.
"Kion!" the voice shouted again.
"who's there?!?!" kion shouted .
the voice kept calling kions name and it sounded as if it got closer.
Kion then felt someone pounce on him.
He then saw a light skin lion , who had blue eyes and a cute smile , her paws were brown , he then realized it was his friend , malaika .
Kion: malaika ??
Malaika : hi kion !
Malaika got off of Kion and they nuzzled .
Malaika saw kions scar and gasped .
Malaika: Kion .. what happened to your eye ??
Kion : .. nothing malaika , you wouldn't understand.. but what are you doing here ??
Malaika: well... everyone in the pridelands were gone and I was confused until someone told me u were at the tree of life and I traveled alll the way here , for you . ( smiles )
Kion : awe , sweet .
Kion : but I need to get some rest .. it's almost time for my ceremony .
Malaika: Ceremony ..? Ceremony for what?
Kion: oh.. I'm becoming king of the tree of life , with rani , the queen .
Malaika: oh! Well I'm very much happy for you!! ( smiles )
Kion: thanks malaika !
Kion and Malaika nuzzled once more before he headed to the tree , malaika was kions bestfriend , it has never been more than that . They have been best friends since the were Cubs .
Malaika watched Kion wonder off as she sighed to herself . She liked Kion , but Kion obviously didn't feel the same way.. at least she was happy for him .
( the next morning . )
Kion was asleep , he was out late and barely got rest but he pushed through .
Rani : Kion! ( nuzzles him )
Kion: mm, morning already?
Rani: ( chuckles ) yeah , how long were u up last night ??
Kion : pretty long ..
Rani: oh okay . I heard people talking last night .. you and a female voice .. who was it ?
Kion : ( sighs ) it was just malaika, my best friend .
Rani: isn't Bunga your best friend ??
Kion: of course he is , but malaika is my best friend also .
Rani: oh okay .
The bell jingled , meaning it was almost time for the ceremony to start . If the bell jingles once it's to let everyone know but when it jingles a second time , then it's time.
Kion quickly ran to get a drink of water and splashed water on his face , he needed to freshen up .
He freshened up a bit when the second bell rang .
Kion gasped and quickly ran over to the tree where they were hosting the ceremony , it was next to the tree as he walked up as they chanted .
Kion walked up to where rani was standing and Kion saw malaika in the front row . Kion gave her a smile as she did the same.
Makini came over with blue paint and put it on Kion's forehead then she giggled .
Makini: Animals of the tree of life ! I present to you... KING KION!!!
The animals cheered as some sang ''long live the king .''
Kion: we're gonna make a great time ( smiles )
Rani: we already do.. ready? ( smirks )
Kion: Always.
Kion and Rani then roared as the Lions Of The Past appeared in the clouds , it was Askari, Mufasa and Janna .
( a couple hours later )
Malaika: Kion! A minute ??
Kion looked at rani as she nodded slowly.
Kion: sure.
Kion and malaika then walked off to talk.
Malaika: your gonna make a great king Kion .( smiles )
Kion: ...
Malaika: Kion??
Kion: hm?
Malaika: what's wrong?
Kion: nothing malaika .. ( walks off )
Malaika: KION STOP!
Kion then stopped in his tracks and turned to malaika .
Kion: it's too late malaika, i wish u nothing but the best.
Kion ran off back to where Rani and the rest were, as malaika sat there , confused about what just happened . Thoughts kept swirling in her mind . " what did i do wrong ." "are we even best friends still?" "What just happened" but she was clueless . She couldn't help but think that her friendship was over .
