As I ran to the back of the plane with the keys swinging back and forth in my hand I saw many faces big, little, old, young staring at me as I sprinted by. When I finally made it through the all of the frantic people I got to the door the pilot was talking about. I stuck the key in the doorknob and tried to twist it but the door knob wouldn't budge and I turned around and saw the ocean was only a very short distance away and all I managed to say was hold on.
~The crash~
What made me sad was that all these poor people were going to die just because of a stupid lock. Hold on!! I said once more. And then the plane crashed into the ocean. A great amount of water rushed in the plane as soon as it submerged.
I swam to the door of the plane and tried my best to open it,but the water that had already collected in the plane was to strong it was holding the door closed. I ran out of breath and swam to the surface and took a breath, and then dove back down again I managed to crack the door this time. Finally the door swung open and I was about to swim out when I looked at all the people at the surface. Where the only oxygen remained. I swam up and signaled for them to follow me. They did, thankfully I saw in the group was John and mom. When we all made it out of the plane we were so far from the surface. I could already see there was some struggling for air and my heart sank as two of the people in the group sank down to the dark depths of the ocean. I was starting to lose hope.
~The emerge~
We had finally made it to the surface a total of four people died on the swim up. They didn't have enough breath to last them. I checked the group and was relieved to see John and my mom still alive but I could tell they were tired. I could tell they were about to give up. And I couldn't let that happen. I started to scan the surface of the open ocean for any signs of land. No luck. I started thinking of how dad was going to feel if we never show up to Australia. I started thinking of how worried he would be. Just as the thoughts got worse someone in the group started screaming BOAT BOAT and sure enough I looked and saw a small boat floating smoothly on the water but I didn't see anyone one in it. I started thinking all hope was lost after the boat started floating with the current. But we had to get that boat. All of you stay here I said to the group. John you come with me. We're gonna get that boat. And we started off.
