Todd looked down in horror at Lucy, she had been his wife, the mother of his daughter, the woman he tried so hard to protect, and yet he killed her. The happening made him want to cry, he wanted to turn back time and change everything that had happened, he wanted to bring her back. Then he remembered Eleanor, the baker that had always admired him, and who had told him that she was dead, the anger rushed through him at the idea that she had been the main cause of his wife's death, if she hadn't lied to him then Lucy would still be well alive. His heartbroken gazed turned up to look at Eleanor, who was slowly backing away from him, clearly afraid that he was going to kill her. After all, Todd was a killer, he had killed so many people throughout the past while, so why wouldn't he kill her as well? She could feel her heart race so fast that she could feel it against her chest, she wanted to cry, she felt the rush of regret rush over her. "I'm so sorry Todd, that wasn't your Lucy, and I knew that you would be heartbroken to see her in that state, seeing her beg for money, I was just trying to protect you was all! I wanted to try and keep you happy! She did take the poison, it killed her sense of self!" Eleanor was quick to say, trying to defend herself and her actions, hoping that he would understand and see that she had only done what was best for him after all.

Eleanor didn't know what he was going to do, so when he made his way over to her, she was sure that she was as good as dead, yet to her surprise, he moved to take her waist and hand instead, pulling her into a dance. She let him move her, the pair moving across the floor. "It's fine Eleanor, what happened is just a part of the past, and there's no use in worrying about such a thing!" Todd said in a tone, it seemed cheery, but Eleanor was sure that he didn't mean it. But still, if she was going to be killed off, she was going to enjoy her last few moments alive. So she just smiled and went along with it, at this point she knew better than to try and get away, if he wanted her dead, he would do it no matter what.

"Are you sure Todd?" The woman asked with a light smile on her lips, her features seemed to look happy, hiding her fear and weariness. "I do hope that we can get on with our lives now!"

Todd gripped onto Eleanor's waist and hand as their pair danced around the floor, he wanted to kill her right then and there, he wanted revenge for what she had done to Lucy.  But he couldn't deny his feelings for her, the feelings that he has had for her for a while now, he didn't want to be the cause of another death of someone he loved. Now he was forced to choose, avenge his beloved wife, or keep the other woman he loved alive and well, he had been violent to Eleanor in the past, and all those times he held a knife against her beautiful pale neck were never meant to kill her. He had no issue with killing, yet there was something about killing the baker that made him feel differently. Perhaps it was that little giggle she had whenever she mumbled a little cannibalism pun, she had such dark humour that always seemed to shock him. His mind raced to try and think of what to do. Yet he saw the look on her face, the joy in her eyes. His mind was a mess, and he moved to press her against the wall, his hands wrapping themselves around her pale neck, causing her to gasp out, the joy fading to fear.

"Todd, please," Eleanor croaked out, her hands moving to grab at the wall, afraid that he was going to kill her right then and there, she had wanted to spend her last few minutes alive happy, yet she was afraid he would make her suffer, make her feel the pain.

The grab on her neck was more gentle than she expected it to be, and she saw the mixed look on his face, she could tell that not even he knew if he was going to kill her. "Todd, you know I had good reason, how would you have reacted if you saw her like that? Knew it was her, I tried so hard to keep her safe, but it was harder and harder to do when she didn't even know who she was, let ago who I was." The baker said with a crack in her voice, the sound of sympathy and regret made him feel pity towards her, and he knew that she was right. If he had known it was Lucy, she wouldn't have even known or been able to understand it was him, his free hand moved to cup the side of her face, which she flinched at, expecting a smack. But his grip was kind, and the feeling was something that confused her, but still, she rested into the hand, cold skin against cold skin.

Benjamin Barker may have loved Lucy, but perhaps Sweeney Todd loved Eleanor, he was no longer the same person he was when he was with Lucy, and he knew that although he still loved Lucy, he seemed to be more drawn to the baker. Perhaps Lucy's innocence and gentle nature was no longer something that he liked, she was no longer the person that Todd loved, but someone that Barker would always care deeply about.

"I know Pet, I know," Todd hummed out to her. "I'm not going to kill you, but we do still need to find the boy," he said softly to her, the words almost making Eleanor cry out in joy, she would live to see another day!

"Thank you, Todd," she said as she looked up to him with wet eyes, her heartbeat returning to a normal pace. Oddly enough, she trusted the man in front of her with her life, and if he said that he wouldn't kill her, then she trusted that he wouldn't do such a thing. "Let's continue looking for the boy then, he has to be somewhere here, right?" She said in a hum, and he nodded, letting go of her neck and cheek, pulling away so that they could continue looking for him.

"Toby, where are you darling?" Eleanor called out to the boy once again, hoping that he was nearby, and he was closer than they thought he was.
