Chapter One: Not an Ordinary Monday

"Ugh-", a groan escaped from her lips. The screeching sound of her alarm clock echoed throughout her bedroom which warranted such response. It read 6:45. Another Monday morning or was it?

Dragging her petite form off her bed, she felt the brisk drift of air as she pushed the blanket off her body and emitted a soft yawn. Her feet landed on the floor as she felt the jolt of magic curse through her body. Of course, she ignored the sensation and walked quickly to the bathroom. She quickly turned on the light to face her own reflection in the mirror. Her mossy green eyes, seem as though they had lost their spark and fire. A worn down and tired Bonnie was what she faced.

Bonnie let out an exasperated sigh as she inspected her dark curly hair. She noticed how the last three months of her life had become hell. Yeah, she was well aware that she would do anything to protect her best friend and the ones she loved. Yet, she constantly felt empty and exhausted. Her life continued to spiral out of control.

Bonnie's time consisted of having her head buried in Emily's grimoire and finding ways to keep everyone safe. Sure, she had time for school but that was just it—no time for herself. She mentally wanted to kick herself as she refused to take pity upon herself.

She had to keep her head in the game. There was no other way. That's if she wanted to find a way to defeat Klaus and try to bring back good hearted and self-martyr Stefan. Yes, the one they all loved and cared for. Oh— and let's not forget the love of her best friend's life.

"Stefan... Stefan", Bonnie thought with nostalgia.

Bonnie felt helpless. She could not help but think back of her childhood and how simple things. Simple?

Okay, let's not sugar coat it---things for the novice witch have never been simple. There has always been some sort of complicated mess surrounding her life. Losing her mother at a young age. Just the thought of this would always upset her and anger her at the same time. To make matters worst, she never got the full story on how she came to such loss, would continue to hunt the young witch.

The poor girl could not catch a break. She then had to face the fact that her Grams will never come back. How cruel and ironic must this all be. All her emotions mesh inside her. But as soon as anger would fill her inner core, the image of Damon's face would appear.

Bonnie swore that it was all his fault. If it weren't for this particular vampire, things would be better and her grams would be here.

DAMON.

Oh why oh why had he returned to Mystic Falls. The mere thought of him enraged the young witch. Now, due to her emotional state her magic responded to it. Lights began to flicker and her toothbrush, Colgate toothpaste and other objects started to levitate. Simultaneously, objects encircled Bonnie as she started to shake. She becomes aware of her stated as she reaches a moment of clarity. She reminds herself to breath and think of happy memories. This seems to calm her down and the objects return to their designated spots.

A relieved sigh came from her lips. Gotta learn to control my emotions, thought the teenage girll.

She walked out of the bathroom after brushing her teeth and taking a shower. She entered her ocean blue colored room. She headed straight to her nightstand and reached her ipod and plugged it into her ihome base. She scrolled down her music list till she found the song and the music started to fill the entire room. The lyrics spill out seductively as Brandon Flowers the lead singers of Killers.
