"Reki you're seriously amazing!" Langa says as Reki fixes up his deck. He's been watching intently at him do this for the entire time. His eyes sparkling with admiration.

"You won't believe this! Langa just nailed his first Ollie! I thought I was cool for doing it in 2 months rather than 3 but maaaaannn." Reki says pointing excitedly to Langa the whole time. He looks awkward and embarrassed but either Reki doesn't notice or he just doesn't care.

"Hey can you do it again," Reki said in a more gloomy tone, "the same one you did yesterday." Langa nodded, he dropped his skateboard at the top of the hill gaining more and more speed; pushing himself off with his feet. He went up the ramp and touched the small graffitis star. Perfect.
"Can you do it ten more times." Reki asked, even more discouraged now.
It was that day that he really acknowledged the gap between them.
