I sat on my couch, spreading my legs and settling comfortably. I sighed as I felt myself sinking into the couch. The entrance door swung open. I whipped my head around to see who it was. It was one of my parents. I'd left the door unlocked for them because they'd said they'd be home soon, but I knew I shouldn't have. Someone may have broken into my home and taken me. I groan somewhat, knowing they'd chastise me for this. My gaze was locked on the door as my folks walked in. They locked the door behind them and looked at me with unmistakable rage in their eyes.
"What did we say about leaving the door unlocked?" My mother scolded, her eyes filled with despair. "I left it unlocked because you said you were going to be home shortly." I responded back in a harsh tone. "Fix your attitude." My mother advised me, looking me in the eyes. I rolled my eyes and slouched back into the couch, my arms crossed.
"Watch it." My mother had warned me. I stooped over, bringing my hands together and putting my weight on my thighs, to repair my poster. "Okay, so me and your mother wanted to tell you that you're no longer being homeschooled," my father said, putting his hands in his pockets and reclining back. My mother nodded in agreement with this sentence. My gaze darted between them. They were definitely up to no good. "We want you to attend a public school." My mother trimmed it short because she knew my father would beat around the bush if he continued on. "What?" I exclaimed, my mouth wide open. My voice rose, and my gaze flew between my mother and father. They couldn't be serious. "We believed this would be a terrific experience for you," my father added, and my mother joined him in his smile. "There is no way..." I slur my words. "I know, I know!" My mother exclaimed, ecstatic for me. My brow furrowed in disgust. I was disgusted just thinking of being around a bunch of kids and having them cling to each other like koalas. This did not sit well with me. "Think of it this way: you'll be able to meet more people and go out more." With a horrible smirk on his face, My father spoke forth. I was not going to let them do this to me, so I stood up and stomped up to my room in protest.
I carefully close my door, being careful not to slam it. I leap onto my bed and land on my face. "Ugh!" In frustration, I yell and punch my bed. As I sob into my pillow, tears stream down my face.
Yes, I know that was immature of me, but what would you do if you were in my situation? Consider being forced to go somewhere you don't want to go against your will.
-----------------------------------------------------------

My first day of public school was today. The incident occurred three days ago. I've finally figured out how to deal with the prospect of attending a public school. It's probably not going to be as horrible as I feared.
I put on the clothes that the school has assigned to its students. I look pretty good, but there is something wrong with me. I stared in the mirror, trying to spot the imperfection. I worked it out in the end. I'm not wearing my signature jewelry. I dash to my jewelry box and take out my necklace, carefully putting it on before running downstairs to get my backpack.
