Haunted By The Past

I was running in the woods while two armed men were chasing me.

I don't know why I went straight here, but my feet dragged me and I have the feeling that I'll be safe in this place.

Safe from those bad people..

I don't know why they're coming after me, but I'm sure they're here to kill me.

"Stop there young lady!!. This running got to it's end! " the man with a huge scar, running from his left brow to his right cheek, said while pointing at me.

"Whooo! I thought it will take forever !!" said his companion who has a black rose tattoo on his left neck. He was panting hard while holding down on his knees.

"What did I do!?. I can't remember doing anything wrong!?" I shouted as I tremble in fear.

"Oh you did nothing ..." said the one with a tattoo. They're moving closer towards my direction while pointing a gun.

I slowly walked backwards as they approach . I almost slipped off the ground to see that I was already on the edge of a cliff. Beneath it was a raging river , ready to swallow what ever will fall into it's angry waters.

"Then ....wh-y are y-you going to kill me!?" my voice cracked as I said those words.

"It's simple.. you're the only witness to the Miller Massacre" Said the one with a scar.

He bent down to reach his hat that has fallen off his head because of the strong wind.
I noticed the black Rose tattoo on his chest same as his companion.

Then it hit me....

They are the ones who killed Pres. Miller and his family.
My friend doctor was also shot and died on the spot.

"Remember us now? " the one with a scar said with an evil grinn when he saw my shocked face.

I was too stunned to react after hearing those. All this past 6 moths, I can't believe I witnessed a crime like that. I can't sleep well for I remember the pool of blood running from those dead bodies.

I don't have the strength to speek to the FBI co'z I'm not sure If they were the suspects. And I don't have enough evidence to prove my statement.

But now I'm sure they were the ones who killed the President and his family. Even an innocent doctor was also killed.

"Why do you have to do this!?"

" We're just following orders. Now ,are you ready to die?"
He's about to pull the trigger....

but I slipped off my feet and fell off my position.

I was struggling through the raging waters trying to save myself, but it's no use.
I can't even swim, how much more in this kind of situation.

I already accepted the truth that I won't live longer in this world anymore.

I'll finally go the the place where I belong. I might see the the demons in hell or the angels in heaven when I finally loose my breath.

I could see the white light already. I'm waiting for my last seconds. The last thing I heard was the splashing of the water, but there's a loud splash like someone dove in it.

I was about to close my eyes and feel the cold water passing through my already pale skin, but someone pulled me up and embraced me in his arms. I can tell that this person is a man by just feeling his body structure.

He swam across the river while his arms are still wrapped around my slender body.

For a while I was relieved knowing that I still have the chance to live.

I felt that we're already in land.
He slowly lay me down on the ground. I can hear his panting and his heavy breathing escaping his mouth.

I tried to open up my eyes to see who's my savior and to thank him, but all I saw was a blurry vision of a man staring at me.

I can't see his face clearly, but I had a glance of the unique color of his eyes observing my face.

His eyes are amazing.

"Thank you.... "
I manage to say, but it went out faintly.

Afterwards, everything went black.
