*Y/N POV*

Across town, a horde of monsters surround the dock, you see a familiar face, Ashley crouches at the end of the dock. her leg is mangled. she's struggling to reach an unmoored boat "come on....not here....not like this" said Ashley "mom!" said Coby, you glance nervously towards the monsters but they have eyes only for Ashley. she turns your way "Coby? Cory? what are you doing here!? you shouldn't be here!" said Ashley. pride and fear war on her face...and then she notices you. her expression twists with fury "and what do you want!? come here to gloat!? are you happy with what you've done to our family!? this town!?" said Ashley "me!?" I asked "as far as I'm concerned you get what you deserve," I said "we'll see about that," said Ashley. cory grabs you by the shoulder "y/n please! we have to help her!" said cory  "she tried to murder me! and had my parents killed!" I said "I'm not saying we should trust her again! but...she is our mom!" said Coby. suddenly the horde of monsters goes silent. an echoing voice resounds across the water. "the bond between mother and child is sacred..." "no...." said Ashley . a spectral form rises out of the water behind Ashley  "I shared that bond once" said Jessica "j-Jessica!" said Ashley "you stole it from me" said Jessica. marlinspike rise into the air, twitching eagerly, as Jessica's spectral form peels back to reveal the monster beneath "you stole it from MY CHILD!" Jessica takes her gaze away from Ashley and towards the cotton twins "n-no Jessica! please, she didn't know what she was doing! show mercy!" said Ashley "this IS mercy!!" said Jessica . a marlinspike shoots through the air heading straight for the twins "NO!" said Ashley. Ashley dives in front of the spike! it impales her through the throat! "MOM! NO!" said cory. Ashley gurgles blood, staggering drunkenly as she wheels around, reaching in your direction...Jessica chuckles mirthlessly, her spectral visage returning "hmm. taking the punishment for your child. very noble. keep it then" said Jessica "but don't forget YOURS" said Jessica, a second spike flashes through the air, cracks through the back of Ashley's skull, and explodes out between her eyes! "NOOOO!!!!" screamed coby. Ashley falls dead. coby takes a step forward, then stops. tears rolling down their faces, cory's hand clenching into fists, as they struggle to breathe through clenched teeth "Y/N?" said coby "yeah?" I said, with shaking fingers he points directly into the horde of monsters "I'm going THAT way" said cory "me too" said coby "looks like there is some trash in the way tho, you want some help with that?" I asked. they nod resolutely  "then let's do this!" I said cory joins you placing a hand on Coby's shoulder "then let's do this" said cory garret's hand appear on Coby's other shoulder "you know it" said gar, Cody, and ty stride forward "let's do this" said Tyler. the horde of monsters roar and all of you roar right back, charging straight at them. you stab the marlinspike through an elk monster's face, pushing past as it collapses to the ground! "come on!". you cut through the monsters rank like a hot knife through butter "just die already!" said Cody "I'm done playing nice!" said Tyler "god! damn! monsters!" said coby . after you all kill the monsters, the twins run towards their mom, they fall to their knees, crying . "that thing was not a mother" said Jessica "what do you know about it!?" asked cory "I'll show you what I know!" said Jessica fiercely. Jessica descends towards the twins, draped in fog, eyes flaming. the water around the dock begins to boil and- "leave them alone!" I said, you step between Jessica and the twins "if you want to talk to someone, talk to me!" I said "run while you still can. when I'm finish crushing insects, I will scour this place from the land . I meant what I said before..." said Jessica "and there's one to go....Robert(your grandpa)" added Jessica and "all this death and pain it won't help anyone! it won't solve anything " I said "I don't care! fifty years I've suffered for what he did to me!" said Jessica "I'll kill that bastard...along with anyone else who gets comes in my way" added Jessica "Jessica wait!" I said. but she's already gone. trembling, you pick up a set of boat keys from the dock near Ashley's body "I... I have to go behind Jessica" I said "damn straight" said garret "no. not us. just me" I said "what!? you've got to be kidding me!" said garret "y/n, no!!" said Cody "we're not just leaving you!" said Tyler. coby lays Ashley's side and rises to his feet "I don't understand" said coby "you've all seen what Jessica can do! there's no one who can stop her now but family....and I'm not even sure about that" I said "I won't risk losing any of you" I said "the best you can do for me right now is get to safety and rescue as many people as you can" I said. coby stares at your eyes pleading "please. don't do this" said coby "coby. you've lost enough. just...take your mom and cory and get outta here, go live, be happy " I said, he pulls you into a tight hug and the others join you "okay love you all. goodb-" before I can finish "no. don't even think about saying it" said Cody "we'll see you soon" said Tyler. you step back, tears running down your cheeks. nearby a boat is thumping insistently against the dock "I have to go! take care of yourselves" I said "and each other" I added, you climb into the boat, start the engine, rumbling away from the dock.
