In a dark room somewhere in Paris, a man stared at the only window there was. "Tell me about your abilities again Duusu." He says into the void, only filled by small feathers hovering on the slight wind coming from the window. A small creature with a feathery tail slips out of his pocket and proceeds to float in front of his face. "With my amokization ability you will be able to use the strong emotions of someone to create a monster under your command." The man places one finger on the peacock shaped brooch and looks at the creature. "You don't sound worried even though you know my intentions." The creature just shrugged and said "You intend to steal the ladybug and black cat miraculous to make your wish come true.", after that he claps and smiles excitedly. "But as long as I can have some fun it's nothing of my concern!" The man looks at the small peacock creature. "We will have some fun. Paris doesn't know what it is in for."

It was supposed to be a normal day. School was starting today and like every day, Marinette overslept. But It was ok, her parents woke her up and after a quick breakfast it was time to go to school. Marinette liked going to school, especially because she was in a class with her two best friends Nino and Alya. They had been her friends since the day she was born, their parents often organized playdates in the park or organised dinners. Marinette needed this company. Because Cloé was also in her class this year. But this didn't negate the fact that Marinette had a pretty good day. Except she hadn't.

Because while she was in her room for lunch, Paris got attacked by a monster consisting of crumpled up paper and a bit of dark mucilage. As if the universe wasn't getting weird enough for Marinette. While she was looking for a pen in her unorganized bag she found a mysterious jewel case with mythical looking symbols all over it. It basically fell into her hands. Cautiously Marinette set the jewel case onto her desk and looked at it. Where did it come from? She was messy sometimes but she would know if she put this thing in her bag. Before she could think about whether she should open it or not, her fingers brushed against the box. The case opened with a blinding light and if Marinette had left her eyes open, she would have seen the creature manifest over the jewellery case. As she opened her eyes, a squeaking scream came out of her mouth. The creature, red and covered with black polka dots, looked like a bug. Marinette hated bugs, she despised them with every fibre of her being. "Hey, you don't have to be afraid." the creature says and starts floating in the air. "We don't have time for that, really."

"Marinette?", her mom shouted from downstairs. "Is everything alright?"

The black-haired girl caught the creature under a glass and took a deep breath. "What are you? A mouse? A bug? Or a mouse-bug?" But the creature just shook its head and sighed. "I'm a Kwami. My name is Tikki. But we don't have time for this. We have to save Duusu and the city!" Marinette laughed hysterically and looked to her PC with the local news on screen. "What do you mean, saving the city? How could I do anything against this massive monster?" She bit her lip as the paper monster threw a paper ball at a house. The police tried firing at it but the creature grew back everytime and it didn't seem to get weaker at all. She was worried.

The kwami escaped the glass by just floating through it. Marinette realized that it was able to do that all the time and now she didn't know how to catch this thing. "Now listen. With the earrings you can transform into a superhero and save the city and..." The red kwami was talking so fast that Marinette didn't catch anything of the things said. She was totally overwhelmed with what was happening. "Did you understand that?" Tikki asked, Marinette didn't want to seem inattentive so she nodded. "Good. You transform as soon as you say the phrase: Tikki, spots on!"

And just like that, Marinette was a superhero with powers she couldn't control swinging through the city. The day just got totally extraordinary all of a sudden and she didn't know how to feel about this. At least she knew her objective. Fighting against the big paper monster seemed like a good idea when she was intending to save the city.
