It had been a week.
One whole week of being by your own all alone. Being without company sucked, probably because you had become so accustomed to it. Ever since you joined the Avengers, you'd been spoiled by each one of them. They all loved you to pieces, took care of you like you had never expected to receive. And now, they'd been gone-for a week straight. You'd practically begged them to join but to no avail. And the only reason behind it was none other than Anthony Edward Stark.

"Miss Y/N, they're landing in five minutes." You heard FRIDAY, the voice a monotone above you and almost yelped in surprise. Quickly gathering your composure, you looked into the mirror, brushing a hand through your hair and straightening your cozy attire-ready to greet them with a cheery smile.

You practically skipped your way to the deafening noise of the helicopter landing reached your ears, as they one by one walked out, a bruise here, a cut there. You first ran to Steve and hugged him tight, wrapping your arms around his neck. He was the one who'd rescued you and brought you here. Within a few days he had turned into a brotherly figure to you, although he acted more like a grandfather.

"Ow!" He winced behind you, making you pull back with a giggle. "Still a bit sore."

Next came Thor, as you wrapped your arms around his waist gingerly, he was intimidating with all the height and bulkiness. With a side hug to Clint and a three way hug with Natasha and Bruce, you guided them all inside, not caring about the genius following in toe.

Not like you would hug him anyways. You had some talking to do. It had been months since he had been avoiding you, getting on your nerves. What had you even done to receive the cold shoulder? You agreed to whatever they said. When he told everyone that he didn't want you accompanying them in the mission, you'd agreed to that too.

Well, yes it hurt knowing he didn't want you to join. Perhaps if someone else told you it wouldn't hurt that much, but it was him. You'd tried to manipulate them into it but nobody seemed to agree, you tried to fuss about it but had to ultimately stop as Steve-being the Grandpa he is-ordered you to stop.

"Here," You mumbled, helping them with the first aid as they made themselves comfortable in the living room. "Let's take care of all the cuts."

"Hey Stark!" Steve called to Tony, as he expertly ignored any interrogation. "Don't you need to-"

"I'm fine, Capsicle." Cutting him off, he thumped his way to his lab.

"What is wrong with him?" You asked to no one in particular, dropping the scissors and bandages in the first aid kit. "He's been avoiding me like the plague. First he didn't want me to join the mission, now he wouldn't even look me in the eye."

"You should just talk to him." Natasha muttered, resting her head on the couch as the others nodded in unison.

"Yeah," You agreed. "I'll do it soon."

"Or, you could talk to him now." Steve looked up.

"What-now?"

"No time like the present."

"Makes sense." You picked up the first aid kit, turning your way to his lab. "Oh and you guys should go freshen up."

Faint AC/DC music played in the background as Tony worked with his suit, tightening screws as he sipped some Scotch alongside. You tried to avoid the way his arms flexed as he worked, how concentrated he looked with the furrow of his eyebrow and his lips slightly parted. Yes, you'd had a crush on him when you first joined the group, but you slowly learnt to get over it. And it wasn't that hard given that he had started ignoring you anyways.

"What do you want?" The music stopped as you heard him interrogate, breaking you from your trance.

"Well hello to you too." You mumbled, leaning against his work table. Was it your brain playing games or did his eyes actually move past your legs longer than necessary?
