THE MEET AND GREET
Leaning against the window, fidgeting with the hem of the curtain Rhea stood talking to her cousin on the call.
"Hey, when are you arriving? I am eagerly waiting to finally meet you, it's been almost one year since I met you last Aash." Rhea exclaimed with uber excitement.
"So am I eager, Rhea. It feels like forever," she paused to content her enthusiasm, "And also I'll be arriving at 8:30pm. Can't wait," Aashna gleefully replied.
"8:30 it is. I'll be there at the gate to receive you."
"Irony happening here. Ok I need to go now, Bye."
"See you soon, Bye!"
Rhea hung up the call and kept it on Aashna's dressing table.
Rhea was in Ratnagiri, her native for the housewarming ceremony of the new flat her parents purchased a few months back. The flat was in the same society where her cousin Aashna resided. Rhea arrived in the evening and was living in her cousin's place, waiting for her to return back from her swimming classes. Meera, Aashna's mother and Rhea's aunt had gone to pick up Aashna from the classes.

8:35 pm
Rhea stood at the gate, discerning the society terrace when she heard a car honking. She turned around to check whose car it was and it was Aashna's indeed.
No sooner than Aashna saw Rhea, than she got down from the car and went running towards Rhea for a clutch.
They hugged each other tightly with broad ear-to-ear smiles on both their faces, experiencing the warmth they were missing since 11 months.
"How have you been all this while?" Aashna questioned as she disentangled herself from Rhea.
"Good. But now better after meeting you of course!" Rhea replied with a grin.
They started giggling among themselves when Meera interrupted their conversation saying, "Are you two going to talk here near the gate or go in the apartment, freshen up and then share your ample of gossip? Come on let's go."
"Sure aunty, we will talk over dinner" Rhea said with a gentle nod and giving Aashna a wink and they all started marching towards the Aashna's wing
