"y/n hun come downstairs if you are ready!" my parents called from downstairs, i packed most of my things but i needed a few more so i shove them in a backpack then carried it and my suitcases downstairs
"i'm ready" with a big cheesy smile on my face
my mum walked up to me and squeezed my face
"aww my baby moving schools" my mum says.
i went to beaux-batons before and i had few friends, i wasn't popular because most girls thought i was a nerd as i like reading books and art. but it didn't bother me at all because it's what i like to do..
"hunny, remember your our little munchkin okay" she kisses my cheek and walks back to my dad sipping coffee
"yes y/n do not grow up please." he adds
i giggle and get ready to leave for Hogwarts. i was really excited because i get to make new friends and have a nice new start in school. being a nerd i got all passes in every test so i was quite bright,i was moving into 5th year. i hear hogwarts is the greatest school of wizardry... i wonder what house i'll be in.
we got to kings cross station and we rand threw the wall.
"bye mum, bye dad!" i say almost stepping onto the hogwarts express.
"bye hunny! love you!" they both shout back in union
"love you too!!"
i step onto the train to find an empty compartment and i sit down.. i put my luggage beside me and pull out a book i was reading. i almost flip a new page but i hear lots footsteps trending into the compartment
"urghhh i'm hungry though!" the ginger boy pouts.
"Ronald calm down we can eat when we sit do- wait look" the frizzy haired girl points at me
"she must be new, she seems nice we should speak to her"
"we agree" two tall identical boys add
a smaller, younger looking redhead girl speaks
"i'll speak to her" she walks over to my table and starts with
"hello i'm ginny Weasley, you must be new.
"hi i'm y/n y/l/n nice to meet you!" i give a sweet smile back
"do you mind if we all sit i can introduce you to my friends"
"sure!"
"well, these are the twins.. Fred and George, and this one is Ron, all my brothers. and this is Hermione granger and harry potter our friends"
"it's nice to meet all of you" i put my book down on the table and shift up so they can sit. Hermione sits opposite me and ginny directly next to me.
"so how come your at Hogwarts?" Ron blabs, biting into a chicken leg
"i did go to beaux-batons but i moved here because not everyone was the nicest to me there"
"oh i'm sorry y/n... but i promise we are all nice!" Hermione adds confidently
"i'm sure you all are" i give a bright smile to them all and they do the same
"maybe you will be in griffindor with us!" Fred or George chants
i'm guessing it's one of the houses in hogwarts,
"maybe.. i hope so!"
we talk a lot about school for a while then i continue back to my book a bit before the train arrived. i pick up my luggage and step out the train to see a beautiful castle towering over me, it looked old but that's what made it fascinating.
a tall, bushy bearded man stood in front of me
"hello young lady, being that yer new you will come with me. i'm hagrid.
"uh okay" he does a spell that casts my luggage into my new dorm
"now then, follow me"
i wave goodbye to the Weasley family and the other two and head off with hagrid. i follow him towards to two humongous doors, i hear many children chatting away and laughing with each other. must be the main hall.
"when Dumbledore calls your name the doors with open and yer gonna walk through to the front, that's when you'll get sorted into your new house" hagrid speaks confidently.
inside the main hall
"silence! the first years have been sorted but we have another new student for fifth year, give a warm welcome to Y/N Y/L/N"
the doors burst open and i start to walk through, all eyes on me. it was different but i didn't mind, i saw the friends i met on the train and gave a quick smile before arriving at the front
an old bug eyed lady grabs a dusty looking hat and says
"time to get you sorted dear, take a seat" i do as she says and sit on the wooden stool, she places the hat on my head and it starts talking
"ahhh a y/l/n, haven't seen one of you in a long time. your honest, kind,a little shy... hmmm i'm going to give youuuuu.. HUFFLEPUFF"
i smile and walk over to the cheering table and sit down, as soon as i sat down a boy swings round his chair to look at me
"hey, i'm Cedric diggory. nice to meet you"
a random other Hufflepuff shouts at him to shut up. and other shouts for me not to speak to him, but i frown at them and continue the conversation
"i'm y/n nice to meet you too, why are they being so mean to you?" i question, he answers with,
"well...i'm probably the most hated guy in the school."
"how come??"
"i'm not really sure, i thought i'd talk to you as i have no friends"
"well i can be your friend if you like?" i felt bad for him and he could see that.
"i would love that" he gave a sweet smile and i returned it.
the feast ends, ginny offered to take me around the school.
" ooh i also want you to meet some other people"
"okay!"
we both walk around, we go along some stairs and we almost bump into some people.
"HEY watch where your- oh hi new girl sorry about that" the platinum haired boy apologised
"oh it's okay, i'm y/n"
"come on y/n you will love to me-" ginny gets interrupted by a
"i'm draco malfoy, and this is blaise zabini we'll see you round i guess"
"yeah see you bye!" you continue walking with ginny and you walk outside to a small bench with a girl and boy sat down
" neville and luna, this is y/n. y/n this is neville and luna"
"pleasure to meet you both"
"you too!" they both reply in union
"oh yeah y/n this is your dorm number and key."
"thankyou ginny"
i go back to my dorm and unpack my things before looking at my timetable, i have potions with slug horn in 15 minutes, i decide to look nice so i curl my hair and redo my mascara.
"ohhh a new student, welcome y/n i'm professor slughorn take a seat next to Hermione granger"
you sit by Hermione and you two say hello
"so y/n you've met a few guys is there anyone that catches your eye?"
"uh well not really. i've never had a boyfriend before, i'm just to myself rea-
the door slams open, a tall brown curly haired guy walks into the class, i look at him and he looks at me. i notice the many scars on his face not knowing i'm staring. hermione nudges me
"hey hey, not him y/n he's a murderer and a psychopath,his name is-
"MATTHEO RIDDLE your late! sit down."
the professor talks but i don't listen
"he's a murderer?" i look worried "why would they let a murderer into school?" i whisper kind of loudly.
" i wouldn't know but stay away from him"
the boy sighs and sits down behind us, Hermione shifts her chair forward but i stay where i am
"MURDERER!" a random slytherin boy shouts to him and he doesn't answer. he just keeps his head down clicking his pencil.
why would they let in such a horrible person into the school leaving others lives in danger. i decide to stay away from him for my own good.
