Iris was now tied up, in a closet with a rag tied around her mouth, keeping her from screaming for help, again she had no idea where the Reverse Flash was, maybe he was fighting the flash, who she knew was looking for her because of the message that the man in the yellow suit had left for The Flash. It had now been a full day since she was kidnapped, and now sitting in the dark she realized how hungry and thirsty she was, sure she had gone without eating for a day or two before, but not since she was in eighth grade. Long story short, she was hungry. Iris again forgot about her hunger when she heard noises out side of the closets door.
On the other side of the door was the Reverse Flash, with a cell phone in his hand, it wasn't the man under the mask’s phone of course, because with a few clicks of a key board, Cisco could find out who he was; no the phone was from a random persons account. He was sending one last message before the final battle, one last trail for the crimson speedster.
“- Barry Allen, the Flash, our first encounter since you have received your powers, the first place i battled you and you lost to a superior being, I have Ms. West, and if you want to make sure she stays unharmed, you will not have connection to the people in STAR Labs, and you will not call the police -”
Harrison Wells pressed sent on the message before zipping his mask back up quickly, ready for this battle to happen, to see the Flash fail, on and on again, it was his destiny to win, and the Reverse Flash will win this battle, and all that followed.
Literally in a flash, the Flash was standing there, the small lightning bolts on either side of his head where not there showing that he had no com signal with neither Caitlin, Cisco, or Joe West, Barry was now on his own to beat the man in his childhood nightmares.
“How quaint, the hero came to save the damsel, it was like you two where made for each other huh? what do you think, fangirl” the man said, his voice now deep and vibrating, no filter could see what his real voice was like and that was how it was suppose to be, which was just as he wanted it to be. The yellow speedster, was now holding Iris West by the back of her jacket. The moment Barry saw her, his heart sank, Iris’s once white blouse was now spotted in dried blood, as well as her lips and chin, she looked fatigue, meaning she hadn't slept much and was worn. It had only been a day and a half, and barry had never seen Iris in such a condition.
Snapping back to look at his enemy when the other speedster spoke “come on reporter, tell him how you screamed for him before the building exploded, that finally your clueless flash was searching for you” he put her on the ground softly and knew that barry knew better than to grab her, because just like Barry’s mother, it could be over with a swift edge to the heart.
“Let her go Reverse, she has nothing to do with this” the Flash said, his eyes staring directly into those of the red eyed monster, he was dead serious about this, about her. The Reverse’s eyes flickered brighter at this realization, his plan was defiantly being put in motion, only a few more pieces left until Endgame…
“Lets make a deal…Flash, you for Miss West, you surrender and let me take you down, give up the hero, and she will go home in one piece…” It was as if this would be a deal with the devil, Barry didn’t even know what the reasons for all of this was. The Reverse Flash wasn't like the other villains that Flash fought, like Captain Cold for instance, he had a reason for hating him, The Flash had put him behind bars, stopped him from hurting people. But this man…the man in the yellow suit had no reason to kill Barry's mother, no reason to be harassing him, no reason to kidnap the girl he cared for most. Barry had not done anything to him in the past.
“Flash…its not worth it, he wants to hurt you, don't let this city lose its only hope to be free again, its only hero, its only chance to save it from this monster” Iris said sitting up, looking at the flash with as much urgency as she could come up with. To Barry, she didn't look weak anymore, she looked like her beautiful self, (with a previous nose bleed that got out of hand) he couldn't understand why she would do this, but then again, didn't he give himself up for the city in the past?
“I’m sorry Iris but i cant let him hurt you” Barry said getting to his knees, there had to be a way out of this. He couldn't fight, because iris was way to close to him. He couldn't go up and grab Iris, again because they where too near each other, maybe if he got reverse away from Iris. But now he had to act like he was given up.
At his actions, the reverse flash untied Iris and pushed her away, making her stumble. She turned around to look at them, while getting to her feet slowly. The man in the yellow suit sped up to right in front of the Flash, and grabbed him by the head, dragging the zipper of the mask down. Barry's hands flew up to the mask and it was a tug of war that ended when the Reverse Flash kicked him in the stomach, and pushed the mask of the head.
Barry went down to the grass of the football field and got up quickly, forgetting to vibrate his face, he sped away, grabbed Iris into his arms and ran as fast as he could, get them both away from this killer. Barry must have ran for ten minutes, not stopping long enough to look behind him, or for Iris to see his face clearly, she fought the urge to pass out.
He finally stopped, looking around frantically, he had saw that the reverse flash stopped following him. “I think i lost him Iris..” Barry glanced down at the fully conscious woman in his arms, Iris, looking at his face calmly, she could barely react before he took off running and they where suddenly in the West home, Joe got up quickly as Barry set Iris down on the couch, knowing that she probably had sea legs at the moment. “She needs water, something to eat, and a lot of rest” he said before going towards the door. “wait Barr-“ Iris started, but he was long gone.
+++STAR LABS+++
Harrison Wells was now there, a few minutes after the stand off that ended in a 0 vs 0 win for either the Flash or his reverse, he apologized quickly, saying he was busy with some projects and the people to fix his phone lines, and phone hadn't shown up yet, and that he should've been there. He sat there pushing his glasses back up on his face, sitting in his wheel chair, getting caught up by Caitlin on the events of the past two days.
All eyes landed on Barry as he sped in, then changed out of his suit, “Cisco, where did he go” he asked looking at the computers “he left the city, i will work on something to cover the nation, so we can see if he's ever close to Central City again” Cisco replied looking at his friend, feeling guilty for not being prepared.
“make it the world cisco, as far as you can get it, i want to find and take him down, he almost took Iris from me tonight for good and that cannot happen again” Barry said seriously, he glanced up at the three people before him. “Barry i am truly sorry for the stress you have been put through since yesterday morning, but you need to go explain this to Iris, not just for your sake but hers. She deserves to be explained by you, she's been put through a lot it seems like, she doesn't live this life so it should be hard on her” Harrison said starting to sound like his wise twisted self again.
“You’re right Dr. Wells, i need to clear the water, so we can all get some rest” Barry agreed, nodding while he spoke, he grabbed his jacket and sped out of the lab. Harrison then turned to Caitlin and Cisco “you two are dismissed for the night, have a good sleep, I’ll see you both in the morning, good work today” he said looking from Cisco to Caitlin, making sure they knew he was proud of them,
“Thank you Dr. Wells” Caitlin said, smiling a bit, before grabbing her stuff, Cisco still setting up different programs to help track the reverse flash, before leaving himself also.
