~(Ya know after Episode 132 I was too terrified of Donald to write anything sweet about him. So I included a horror movie and a tad of lewdness to offset the sweetness. Anyways this is Version 2 of the Date night thing I said I was going to do. That's it I don't really have anything else to say. Anyways please leave requests and/or constructive criticism and I hope you enjoy!)~
The smell of Chow Mein and fried rice wafted up to Donald's nose teasing his taste buds. The whole room was now filled with the mouthwatering scent of Chinese takeout. A mistress of a thing it was, considering how it was all super unhealthy. Yet so, so tempting.
Donald inhaled the scent. It was nice to have food. Growing up, he never knew where his next meal would come from. Now with food and money (money too. It was nice to have a lot of money) he could have food without leaving his house. This safety net was one Donald was glad to have. Actually scratch that. Glad is an understatement of words. Not only could he provide for himself now, he could provide for another person; his boyfriend Kingsley. Although provide for, might not be the right use of words. Pamper or pleasure might be more appropriate.
This weekend was one of those unrealistically magical ones where nobody decided to stir shit, so there was no shit to be dealt with! So Kingsley had proposed the perfect plan: stay in, order takeout, and watch movies. And cuddle, of course, but that was always on Donald's itinerary.
Kingsley sat on the couch, clicking the remote, trying to find a movie to watch. The lowlight of the living room provided a cinematic atmosphere, while the glow of tv illuminated Kingsley's features. His maroon hair had been overtaken by a shade of black, while his pale gray eyes appeared almost blue. Donald couldn't help but stare. Why did he always have to look so attractive?
"Here's one," Kingsley said, drawing Donald away from his ogling. Kingsley had picked out a film, an older, horror, one by the looks of it.
"Why that one?" Donald asked, not unkindly. Kingsley took a liking in horror movies, but this particular one seemed really old; the cover was done in an cheesy pop art style suited for the 1960s.
"It's supposed to be a classic. The guy who made it is a bit of legend in the film making industry." Kingsley admitted a bit sheepishly. Donald smiled. Him and his dorky interest, he couldn't help but think.
(If you had already figured out what movie Kingsley picked you are amazing)"Well, if it's that good, we have to watch it." Donald said a bit jokingly. Psycho was the name of the movie and after about fifteen minutes Donald was started to get bored. Donald wasn't really interested in cinema but this movie was taking awhile to develop. Usually in movies running away was depicted as more adventurous, but here they were just dragging it out with some unnecessary tension. Although he did appreciate how it was a bit more realistic, rather than the usual 'let's runaway together and live an adventurous life' trope. But Donald kept his mouth shut, because Kingsley seemed to be enjoying it. He had also curled up against Donald keeping him warm on one side.
For just a bit longer they sat in silence, indulging in Chinese food and warmly cuddling with each other. Until suddenly-
"AAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Screeched the women on the television. Donald was taken aback. He didn't expect it to escalate that quickly. He most certainly did not expect the guy (it was the guy right? But the silhouette looked more female??) to just outright stalk and then stab her. And even though the graphics were super cheesy, the music and overall tension played more on the psychological edge.
"Well that was...unexpected," commented Donald. Kingsley chuckled. I know we're not the greatest people but to have that sense of humor-
"If you had known anything about horror movies you would've known that would happen," Kingsley said as he put his finished takeout box on the coffee table. He curled up against Donald once more, even though the latter was still very confused.
"What...?" Donald asked waiting for a bit of explanation. Kingsley looked up, his eyes gleaming.
"Well I almost don't want to tell you," Kingsley said shifting himself closer Donald, "It's rather a sight to see, the great Donald Na confused." He didn't need to see his face to know that Kingsley was smirking.
"Now you're just being mean," Donald said turning his eyes away from the television, which now showed a close-up of the women's eye.
"That scene we just watched is so infamous it is just simply known as 'The Shower Scene'," Kingsley was explaining, but Donald could still hear the smirk in his voice, "The music use, the sound effects, the switching of the camera angles to get past the censors. It was a novelty of the time. Hitchcock, the director, fooled the censors by thinking they had seen stuff when the really hadn't. You don't see violence or nudity but your mind thought it did. It sets up the whole mood of film that it lives inside your brain, not the screen. Even if you haven't seen the movie you know 'The Shower Scene'," Kingsley claimed finishing his rant.
Donald smiled. He probably doesn't even know how much of a dork he sounds like right now, he thought pulling Kingsley closer. But upon replaying the scene in his mind, Donald found that Kingsley was absolutely correct. Huh. Maybe he should pay a little bit more attention to the movie. But how could he do that when Kingsley's warm body was nuzzled against his own.
"Did you know," Donald said, moving his hand to a place on Kingsley's torso where he knew there was a hickey, "That today is our one year anniversary?"
Kingsley hand traveled up Donald's back, at a teasingly slow pace, until they reached his head and knotted in the soft blonde hair. Kingsley really enjoyed to play with Donald's hair. Perhaps play with wasn't the correct term. More like mess up his hair. Kingsley took pleasure in knowing that it took Donald an irrationally long time to do his hair in the mornings or, as Kingsley's would say, "gel it to perfection." It was always the perfect look it was almost annoying. Messing it up was very satisfying, to say the least. Plus it was really soft, and Kingsley liked running his hands through it.
"Yeah, I thought you forgot." Kingsley said flatly. Donald was perplexed.
"I thought you forgot," Donald said turning his eyes away from the movie so they could look into Kingsley's.
"Well if you thought I forgot why didn't you say anything?" Kingsley asked.
"Why didn't you?"
Kingsley shrugged. "It's not that big of a deal."
"Well we've been together for a year." Donald protested, "I think that calls for at least some sort of celebration."
"Oh, yeah?" Kingsley wrapped his arms around Donald's neck and was practically sitting on his lap. "I guess we could celebrate..."
"Mm-hm, now where would you like to celebrate in here or in the other room?" Donald said as he slung Kingsley's legs over his lap and then went to kiss his neck.
"I think we should celebrate in the other room," Kingsley said in a low voice, "When the movie's over." He didn't change his tone when he said it, keeping the same husky tone, but he did move his head so he could rest it on Donald's chest.
Did...did he just get cock-blocked by a horror movie? Well whatever. He was just glad to spend time with his boyfriend, no matter how that time was spent. Actually scratch that. Glad was an understatement.
