The world stops turning. Everything in the surrounding is colorful. She is floating in cloud nine when she heard Greg calls her name and said " I like you, Cate. I really want to be with you." This is the first time she heard the sweetest words from someone she desired for a long time. Yes, Greg is her ultimate crush since first year college. She has some admirers but she does not give them any attention because of Greg. He is an epitome of an ideal man. He is the man who comes to life from the character in the novels she reads. So when she heard him said the magic words, she is flabbergasted. It's like she is dreaming. She froze when Greg's lips brushed hers, his hands caress her face, shoulders and run his fingers on her neck. It seems like there is electric current run through her nerves. This experience is new to her. Her body does not know how to react. She is confused on how to react. Half of her mind wants to let go but her heart and other side of the brain want to feel the sweet caress of Greg. She feels heaven with him. Just the simple touch of the man she loves is so overwhelming. At last , she has experienced the things she had read in the romantic novels. "This is is it! It's real!", she thought to herself.. But when she feels that Greg is gasping for breath and she sees his eyes are blazing with desire , she pushes him away. She, herself seems uncontrollable. She almost gave in. Greg was apologetic for what he had done. But she answered him with a silent shy cry.

It is quite true and seems common that when smart girls fall in love they become dull and idiot. This was what happened to Cate. Her studies and grades are not affected, in fact, she is more inspired. But one thing that makes her damn was when she surrendered everything to the man she loves.
