George had left only for him to come right back a few months later. Over the few months that George was gone, he and George didn't really talk. They streamed together a few times but the way they acted was off, even chat could tell. The missed calls, missed texts, everything that happened led them back to the same place they were before. Together.
There they lied, in bed together. Silently. It was a comforting silence. All they needed was each other's warmth. All they needed was each other. Dream shifted, opening his mouth to speak. "George, I love you," he said as he ran his finger's through the brunette's hair. "I love you too, Clay." He moved his head into the crook of Dream's neck.
"I'm sorry for everything, George. I really am. I need you to trust me. I would never do that to you." George sighed and chuckled a bit, looking up at the blonde in front of him. "Dream. Seriously, you have apologized way too many times. I forgive you." He pressed their lips together passionately, melting into Dream.
Dream sat up against the headboard. "C'mere George," he said as he patted his lap. George rolled his eyes and complied, sitting on Dream's lap. Dream moved George to pick him up bridal style and held him like that.
He looked down at the small boy in his arms. "You saved me, George. You know that?" He paused, thinking of the perfect words. "Without you, I would have been continuing my old bad habits." He paused again. "I used to be drowning in my emotions," he smiled, "But now that I have you, I'm drowning in love."
