"What if I told you everything you knew was a lie," I hear him whisper in my ear as he stands behind me. My face went cold.

"You're lying," I snap at him. I don't buy it, he's the villain. He's deceitful and manipulative, of course he's going to lie to me to try and get me to join his dark side. The King warned me that he would say something like that, he told me to keep my sharp mind and to not let him fool me. He trusted me that if he were to take me that I would be smart enough not to listen to what escapes his lips. He would never hurt me, I know that. He had the chance before but never took it, why would he suddenly want to now? That idea gave me power over him. I could easily take his life but he could never take mine, he couldn't even give me a scratch.

"Am I?" He says as he spins me around with his right and and with the left grabs my waist. If only I could slap that always present smirk off his face. The music swells all around you, the dull colored dress skirts and tail coats almost disappear with the deafening sound of the brass and string instruments. The moment is so intense it's as if we're the only one's in the room. I focus solely on him but my mind is elsewhere now. I have to get back to the king, safely. But how? His eyes are not leaving mine, those black eyes that look as if they could hypnotize you into believing in him. His eyes would be perfect if they were attached to someone else, same goes for his perfectly shaped Greek nose and black hair. If only he weren't evil.

"I can see your gears turning in your head dear." He snaps me out of my head, I have to act quickly. I know I have to keep my cool and escape once the music ends. I will have to excuse myself without him following. I have a plan, I must proceed with caution. However, when he speaks again that all goes out the window. "You do realize he knows, right? You weren't randomly chosen, he had a plan for you. Your whole life wasn't an accident, it's been planned out for you and you haven't the faintest idea. Your ignorance is quiet laughable, really. If only there were someone who could tell you," his look conveys that he is the one who could tell me everything. Everything about what? What does he mean? The King knows?

"You don't know anything about me. You're cruel. You're evil. You're a liar." I keep my voice low as we are both waltzing in the middle of a crowded ballroom. Other than being captured by this man, causing a scene and creating mass hysteria is the last thing I want for my kingdom. He chuckles at my words as we continue to dance, which sends hot anger flowing through my veins.

He leans in and whispers in my ear once more. "Trust me sweetheart. You don't know the half of it."
