Prologue

The stories that are told always have a slightly rough start but in the end it all works out and everyone's happy. No questions asked.

My story happens to be different. This is a real story not some made up fairy tale. This is what happens in the real world. This is what life is really like and whether I like it or not, it's my life.

Someone once said "Maybe it's not about the happy ending. Maybe it's about the story". The story is what makes the happy ending or sometimes the unhappy ending. The story is the most important part, it's full of memories that led to that particular ending.

It's all those mistakes you made bounded together into one.

After all if you hadn't have made those mistakes then would your ending be the same?

It's about the chances you took throughout the story.

If you didn't take those chances then would your ending be the same?

It's about the people you met along the way, who helped make your story.

If you didn't meet those people then would your ending be the same?

You see it's all about the story, the journey, and all the things that make the story up. The ending, however, doesn't have to mean the end. It can be the sign that it's time for you to start a new story, a new chapter in your life. Take new chances, make new mistakes and meet new people.

I made mistakes. I met new people. I took chances. All those things made my story what it is today, a huge chapter in my life full of wonderful memories. Memories that will be cherished. I did things I shouldn't have done, things that were illegal. But if it wasn't for those illegal things, I wouldn't have met the love of my life. If I didn't take those chances or meet those people then I wouldn't be the person I am today. I could have still been making my story.
