Diluc carefully prepares a bundle of fresh grapes and apples, along with some berries and places them down at her spot. The entire day he was pacing around, unable to stop thinking about the guilt he feels.

He sits up in the tree, watching his new display. The apples are in a small wooden bowl with berries and grapes in another bowl. The note is written, held under the bowls so it doesn't fly away.

The sound of footsteps echoes through the dark night. He shrinks away into the leaves of the tree and watches the girl walk towards the table and sit down. Her body language changes to something of more excitement. Diluc saw how her slump loosened and her hands clap together.

She quickly picks up the berries and nibbles on them gently. She plops them into her mouth as she begins to write down her responds to her note.

After she finishes, she stares at the grapes. He sees her lick her lips, her hands quivering to touch and grab them. She quickly pulls her hand back and shakes her head.

"No no no no!" she whines to herself.

She picks up the last apple and leaves the table, a rigidness to her movements. Diluc stares at her with confusion. Why wouldn't she eat them? He's letting her eat them now, so why won't she?

Diluc slides down the tree and picks up the note and bowls, reading it carefully.

Sorry that the apples fell!

:(

I was angry at them and pushed them over the table.

So why don't you eat me?

:)

because i got in trouble when i did

grapes are my favourite

i have not had grapes in a long time

i just wanted to try them

but i got in trouble

i dont like being in trouble

i get hurt

Diluc's brows furrow at the last line of the note. Something doesn't sit right about it. His body feels hot, an angry fire burning. But the first part softened his emotions.

"So she likes grapes the best, huh?"
