Haruki looked over at akira and winced. Father would be really mad. Mother had...had poured hot water over his face,his face! He was bandaged now but that wouldn't stop father. Akira was father's favorite due to his all red coloring. He just might contain a fire quirk that had some ice aspect. Sure all red probably meant another fire quirk but father couldn't be sure until they manifested their quirks. Haruki doubted that he would have a quirk that his father wanted,he had all of his mother's coloring. Haruki looked over at his twin and held out his hand,akira turned to look and him and took his hand. They both knew that they were probably not good enough for father.

Father walked past the hallway smoking and causing little black soot foot prints as he marched toward mothers room. One scream and sobbing filled night and she was gone. A couple weeks later they manifested their quirks. Akira had fire and haruki got ice. That training session was the worst. Father had always trained them together but now he made them work as one. His new idea was that maybe he could make them some kind of hero team,this idea was incredibly stupid.

The idea was really to just have them to regulate each other's body heat but that didn't matter,it was still an incredibly stupid idea.it only worked if they were always together and that wasn't very likely.

The day akira took of the bandages was the first day haruki cried from his heart and not his injuries. Akira looked at him and smiled sadly.

"It hurts,mama is gone and that hurts more,we're alone again aren't we? The others didn't like us before but now they hate me. I-I....can't see out of my eye that well....father will really mad huh"

Haruki hugged his twin and cried harder into his shoulder.

"It's harder to hear on that side too..not by much but I'm damaged,we don't have the right quirk and I'm damaged....he's going to kill us" akira's voice was resigned calm as his twin sobbed into him.

"Do U think he'll stop trying?" Haruki asked.

Akira was quite for a moment then sighed.

" I don't know..... he wants a perfect one but he's gonna relies that we aren't that,it's not possible"

Haruki froze and looked up at his brothers face

"Do u think he'll bring back mama?"

Akira made a strained noise and touched his scarred eye.

"I miss her too har but if she's ...not coming back"

"I-you.......ok" haruki said smushed his face back into his brother's shoulder.

Haruki looked up at his father. The man smoldered and glared.

This training would be extra cruel. Akira saw his expression and smiled grimly. He held out his hand to Haruki.

"Together?" He asked. Haruki nodded and smiled

"Together" he stated and took his hand. They both ran at their father a battle cry on their lips and then their world went crazy.

Haruki no akira....they? Looked down at the ground where they had landed unceremoniously. There hands were kinda big huh. The rough voice of their father brought them back to the present.

" you fused?" He didn't sound ....mad.

They scrambled off the ground.

"Yes sir,we can unfuse,sorry it was an accident we swea-"

"Use your quirk" they looked at him then nodded. Akira held out his left arm and fire shot out,haruki held out his right arm and ice shot out of his arm. To the outside it was all the same through. Their father grinned.

"I have made the perfect creation,one that can surpass all might." He looked down at them.

" You must always stay fused" they looked up at as he left the room.

"What did we do?" They both asked.

Shouto looked around his room and tried to remember when he hadn't been like this. Akira didn't know and haruki didn't either. They were just shouto,no before or after. They could unfuse,akira wanted To but father.....he had made them promise. They had only unfused twice in the last year. Once when they had an argument and once when they just needed a break. The longer they were together the less they really needed too. They kept their arguments from escalating and they just needed to focus on being shouto.

Shouto looked around their-no his closet as he got ready for the day. Shouto was 6 and still had trouble reminding himself that he was closer to one person. He was shouto not akira or haruki,sure sometimes they copiloted or one took over but most of the time they were shouto.the first year they spent fused was the hardest but now...he got used to it.

He wasn't the combined age of the twins do to the fact that they were children. If they had been teenagers maybe but...they were just kids. Fusions were kinda rare,most were of adults and only fused once in a while. Very few were like shouto. No one really knew what prolonged fusion did to a child. He was maybe a couple inches taller but that was it,now he growed as they did.no one remember akira or haruki,they were to young to go to school so no one outside of the house knew.

They were a forced fusion.today was his first real day at school,he hadn't showered up bc he was adjusting but now he had to go. Fuyumi had taught him so he wouldn't be behind,she was so nice to him. She didn't ask mean questions like touya had....had. Natsuo had looked at him and just shrugged but fuyumi seemed to get him,get that he couldn't unfuse ever.

One day as they were coloring she had asked him that question.

Shouto started drawing a villain for a hero to fight. He added some blue and red for the hero's costume and-

"Shouto I know ...you have ....do you like being fused?" Shouto dropped his pencil and looked up at her eye wide.

"It's..we Don't really know anymore,it's fine I guess" she had smiled that sad smile and patted his head.

"Sorry" she whispered as she left the room.

Shouto walked into his class room and tried to smile,today was gonna be new. His two toned hair and scar making stand out in the 1st graders. Eventually the kids would leave him alone,the teachers would too. He would doodle and talk to his twins in school.

No one would remember akira or haruki todoroki and that's the way it would stay
