Sunday, June 25

Teddy just walked James to Gryffindor Tower and headed down for breakfast. He was just talking to James about fun memories of Harry being a DADA professor for one week. It is strange knowing he will never experience those fun lessons anymore. It was a Sunday morning and he had a couple of days of school left, Wednesday he would be heading back to London, knowing he will never be back at Hogwarts as a student.

He obviously has Auror training to look forward to and planned on moving out into a flat near London. He had the money to do so, but couldn't bring himself to leave his grandmum, Andromeda.

Teddy ate eggs with toast and avocado with a glass of orange juice. His typical hangover breakfast. Hayden Summers, who also is a seventh-year Hufflepuff, joined him for breakfast.

"Was there a party last night?" He looked down at the eggs and toast.

"Gryffindor common room," Teddy answered.

flashback

In Teddy's fifth year, he was caught uncomfortably close to Hayden Summers, as they were hiding from Mrs. Norris in a broom cupboard, after raiding the Kitchen after curfew. Out of the blue, Hayden had kissed him. Teddy froze, unable to move anything, simply confused with what was happening. He backed away, and Hayden immediately apologized.

"Sorry, shit, shit. I'm--sorry, I--."

Teddy was still frozen but whatever just happened felt somewhat good. He had no idea where this thought was coming from, but he wanted more of what just happened.

"Do it again," he whispered to Hayden. And after that, they spent a questionable time snogging in the broom cupboard. It felt good but things got confusing when he started looking at Victoire differently.

She was in her fifth year, going out with a Ravenclaw boy, and it made Teddy mad for some reason. He thought it was because she was his best friend and he's simply acting protective but then what would explain the constant staring he was doing. Or coming along with Harry and Ginny to the burrow whenever he can, hoping Victoire would be there. Or the time he got hit by a bludger because he was too busy staring at Victoire when they played Quidditch at the burrow.

The summer before his sixth year, Victoire was going out casually with a muggle boy in her town. It made Teddy furious . But he reminded himself, she was his friend, always had been since they were kids, it's not right for him to think differently of her and expect Victoire to do the same for him. But she was so beautiful, her long blond hair, her Veela qualities, her french, her light blue eyes, her soft hands, her... By the beginning of his sixth year, he admitted, Oh-no, I fancy Victoire Weasley.

Ginny was the first to notice, but he told Harry about it. Ginny kept telling him to simply ask her, trying to convince him she felt the same way about him, but it didn't feel like that when she started going out with another Gryffindor boy.

"Believe me, I've been down that road before, mate," Harry told him one weekend, after Teddy asked for advice, lying on the couch his face sinking in the pillow, thinking there's no way I'll win her.

He would stare at her in the corridors, and offer to casually walk her to class. She broke up with the Gryffindor boy before the Christmas Holidays, because apparently, he kept trying to help her with small things, which Victoire found annoying. Teddy took note of that and the fact that she was single.

That Holiday, there was a Christmas party at the Potter Manor, like always. These parties were more business-like, while the other family-like Christmas parties would be at the burrow. Ginny's quidditch team members, along with other scouts, Harry's Aurors, and their family friends would attend. Victoire looked absolutely gorgeous. She had a light blue almost silver silky-satin short dress on, with two thin straps, and her curled hair reached the bottom of her back. The kids were all in the backyard, although it was only him, Teddy, Victoire, Molly, Freddy, Kathleen, and Dominique. The others were at the burrow because they were "too young" for the adult party. Teddy and Victoire spent the entire night subtly flirting with each other, and talking about bands that were most popular in 2015.
